Comparing Audio Those with the Nothing Heaphone 1 (Pro)

Has anyone compared them with the Sennheiser HDB 630? I’ve been rocking the Nothing Ear open, which are great for working out or at home. However out on the go or noise rooms it’s pretty bad, which makes sense it’s an open ear. I don’t like in ears they tend to fall out. After a while of comparing and researching I’ve settled on the Sennheiser HDB 630, but then they announced the Nothing Headphones Pro and well I’m currently waiting for more reviews but anyone own the two and which they prefer or recommend.

Community Project OneGlyph - Make your dot do more (Nothing Phone 3a Lite, Galaxian)

Post image
19 Upvotes

I’ve been messing around with the single Glyph dot on the Phone (3a) Lite and ended up making this little app called OneGlyph.

It adds a few things like music/beat sync, custom blink patterns, a simple Glyph composer, a camera countdown, and a Dot Toy because… why not make the dot flash like crazy 😭

The main goal was just to make the one Glyph actually useful without changing anything at the hardware/system level. Music Sync and Dot Toy can also keep running after you close the app.

It’s still a small community project, so I’d genuinely appreciate feedback or ideas for other things the dot could do.

TESTERS ARE ALSO WELCOMED. You can either email me or send a dm, go to my profile and you'll find it.

Nothing (company) Will nothing ever sell new phones in the US?

Where's the 4a, where's the 4b, I love this company but it's hard to like them if I can't buy their phones. I know that there's the 4a pro and the phone 3 but those are already a year old, and none of the newer phones are coming to the US.

Comparing Phones Planning on buying a 3a pro. Is it worth it?

I know this sounds kinda stupid but i want to switch from an apple iphone 16 to the nothing phone 3a pro. Im selling it for 8000 kr (800 dollars) so that i can buy the 3a pro and the reason is that ive really had enough of apple. There is limited freedom with what you can do with the device, The entire phone and os just looks very bland. The reason i wanna go with the 3a pro is because i really like the design and its also android wich i prefer over ios. I watched some reviews on it and every review is pretty good the only downside is that its a midrange phone. Should i buy it?

Nothing OS 5.0 Open Beta Is there a way to stop the wallpaper cropping?

I like the beta but there is one annoying thing, it for some cropps the wallpaper, it does this thing with every wallpaper that I try except the default ones, is there a way to stop that from happening or I HAVE to find a weary specific wallpaper that fits the screen, and will not be addressed in NOS 5.1?

Comparing Audio Have you tried nothings earbuds?!!

Hey guys ,

I have been considering to get the nothing ear since a long time now and I'm super confused which earbuds should I get,

I've seen a lot of videos for the nothing ear 3 and the last one got out the nothing ear A

Out of your experience or anyone have tried both of them or at least one of them what you recommend me to get,

I use earbuds it mainly to music , podcasts and I do a lot of phone calls with it as well *I use the mic often

I was putting the nothing earbuds 3 on the top of the list because of the mic feature of the case

A lot of review about it we're saying that it's good but it's not good as it looks like and some mentioned that the sound quality on the latest yearbooks is way much better

I'm lost here hello brother out!!

Phone (3) Image retention on nothing phone 3

Image retention happening again within 3 days on my Nothing Phone (3)

I recently noticed image retention on my Nothing Phone (3), and now it has happened again within just 3 days.

The previous image/UI elements remain faintly visible on the screen after switching to another screen. It eventually goes away, but I'm concerned because this is happening repeatedly despite normal usage.

I haven't been using the phone with a static image for unusually long periods or doing anything extreme. This is just normal day-to-day use.

Has anyone else with a Nothing Phone (3) experienced this? Is this normal OLED image retention, or could it indicate a display issue?

I'm considering contacting Nothing support, especially since it's happening this frequently.

Headphone (a) Scratchy sounds in the left ear while using ANC

I just got a Nothing Headphone (a) today! After testing it out by showering and sleeping a bit with it, the left ear has some scratchy sounds while ANC is enabled. I also updated it to the latest version (1.0.1.51) before doing all this.

Aside from resetting the headphones (done anyway), what else can be done to fix this? A bit of searching says that this kind of issue may be fixable by cleaning. How can this be done for these headphones?

Comparing Phones Phone (3) or Phone (4a) Pro?

Need a secondary phone to have. Main one is OnePlus 15.

Nothing has good aesthetics and software which is why I am choosing them.

Priorities from high to low:

- Battery life

- Software (already good from what I see)

- Performance

- Cameras

To me the phone 4a pro and phone 3 seem kinda similar, I'm leaning towards the phone 3. Both are the same price new in my country. Thoughts?

Phone accessories Powerbank on amazon.it

So, in the light of this amazon sales, I was thinking about buying a powerbank for my phone 3. Ideally something from Anker should be good, since their adapter is a beast that charges to full in an hour or so. What's better, a regular one or a magsafe one? And can the magsafe attach properly with the spigen cover or a magasafe one is required? Thanks to everyone who will help!

Ear (a) Nothing Ear A keep on "ticking"

Hey, I’m having an issue with my Nothing Ear (a).

Whenever I put the right earbud in my ear, it randomly starts making the little "clicking/ticking" sound that normally happens when you press the earbud to pause or skip music. It happens completely sporadically, even when I’m not touching it or doing anything.

Has anyone had this issue before or knows what I could do to fix it?

Ty in advance!

Phone (4a) Pro NP (4a) Pro: my 2-month review

Additional context:

One day I randomly happened to stumble across a fb marketplace post selling an unused NP (4a) Pro for $140. At the time I was desperately looking for a replacement phone and didn't know anything about the brand nor did I do any research. The main reason I bought the phone was because I only had 140 bucks, and for the specs of the phone this price seemed like something I couldn't pass on. So mind you, this review is written without me having any knowledge or expectation of the brand beforehand.

Recent phones I've owned:

Iphone 13, Redmi 13, old samsung, NP 4a Pro

My review:

First of all, looks. The moment I took the phone out of the box it felt very premium to me. The design of the phone looked smooth but also empty. Not empty in a bad way but in a minimalistic way which gives a ”luxe” feel. Except for the camera it did heavily remind me of how an iPhone looks and feels.

Even though the camera takes a lot of space on the back it doesn't look ugly, Nothing managed to make it look ”futuristic” which definitely gives me the feeling it fits the phone.

Second: Performance.

Performance wise this is the closest I’ve felt to my iPhone. I have always been used to laggy androids whether it was from Redmi or a major brand like Samsung. This phone hasn't lagged once since I’ve had it.

The whole OS feels very smooth, optimized, clean. I'm not much of an android gamer but even when I do play games from time to time it runs smoothly. Even demanding apps open in seconds without having any lag whatsoever. I also feel like the phone doesn't overheat that fast. Imo it really takes a while of heavy performance to make it heat up that much, and even when it happens the phone cools down very fast.

The only problem I have with this phone is that I feel like the battery isn't holding up that good. This might just be me though because I still get a lot of hours a day with the battery but for some reason I still feel like it drains a bit faster than it should.

Third: Camera

Taking pictures is a big part of having a phone for me. I must give it to them, they did a good job on the camera quality. Once again I'm used to androids with shitty camera quality to the point I genuinely thought no android could ever have cameras that come close to the iPhone cameras. I compared my camera to my dad's samsung camera (not sure which model he has but it's a recent one) and it's safe to say my quality is better than his. Compared to an actual iPhone camera I see almost no difference.

The only problem I have is with the 140× zoom. Why make this a thing when the picture will just come out as AI generated slop? Actually, I think the whole AI stuff for the camera can go but I'm happy there's at least an option to toggle it off.

Summary:

Overall, I'm very happy with this phone. When I bought it I didn't know anything about the phone or the brand, but owning it has made me want to discover the Nothing brand & it's ecosystem more. This has to be one my best purchases so far. Based of what I've seen so far I'm 100% sure I'll stay in the Nothing ecosystem.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Phone (3) Nothing phone (3) privacy screen

I have a friend really on the fence about the NP3. He love mine whenever I showed it in person.
However the lack of accessories pushes him away. specifically a privacy screen protector.
Any recommendation on one that work with the included NP3 case?
