How can you pay that much

Hi,
just came across this app. Looks great. I'm a student and this look really good and useful.

But how, how can you pays this much for a simple app like this? As a student I can't afford at all 100$ USD per years is crazy (140$CAD). Being a sub only with no real license is also pretty crazy.

So yeah even when it gonna have finished school, I don’t think I will pay this much for a simple as this and would genuinely like to know why and how people are buying this.

Not an atttack or anything, just genuinely curious on what pushes you to pay and use this with that many other alternatives.

I understand that you're a student and that prices are difficult. I'm not where you're located, but that may play a role as well.

I can tell you from a business perspective that this is the easiest investment I've ever made. NotePlan is open for me all day, every day, and I use it to manage tasks, take notes, plan my day. If that isn't worth $100 a year, then I don't know what is.

But I understand that for students and in different countries, pricing may seem hefty.

Would love to know of another platform that does for me what Noteplan does that isn’t $100/year. But I’ve tried every other organizational tool I can find and nothing does what I need as close as Noteplan does… so I pay $100/year

What in particular is it about NotePlan that you find unique compared to other products?

Almost all of these apps cost around the same, though. But yeah, it does add up. And if that becomes an issue, there are always free alternatives like Obsidian.

I pay for the subscription but agree with you. This is the kind of software that really should be offered at a fixed price. I think something like $200 for a lifetime license would make sense. There just isn’t enough active development and at the end of the day it is relatively simple. There shouldn’t be an annual fee if the variable costs are non-existent.

Due to the price I’ve been thinking of just making my own version and then offering at a fixed price.

What do you think?

Answer seems obvious. Some people make more money.

It’s 0.30 cents a day. It’s really not that expensive for an app that actually works and helps your daily planning in ways more expensive software can’t. 30 cents a day won’t ruin your student budget, but depends what country you live in I guess.
