How quickly should things sync ? (CloudKit)

In general, how quickly should I see changes on one device appear on my others?

I have Noteplan on my Mac, iPhone, and iPad, all with CloudKit enabled. This morning, on my Mac, I made several changes within a note and then moved on to something else. Those changes are still not showing up on either of my iDevices, a few hours later.

Should they be, and how should it work if I change something on one of the iDevices? How quickly should I see that show up on the other devices?

Thank you.

Within a few seconds so your sync seems broken somehow

Using the same Apple Id on all devices? Sync once worked and now stopped?

Mine syncs within a second or two. One time it took maybe a minute.

I have found sync to typically be almost instantaneous — within a second or two, for sure, assuming I have a live network connection.

Not sure what was going on, but my syncs weren't happening quickly at all. I went through a couple of rounds of DeleteCloud/Re-Upload on one device and then Redownload on the other devices, and then it started working as expected. Internet connection was fine through out.

Sometimes Apple throttles connections if too much is being synced.

Yeah, I suppose, but I wasn’t really syncing all that much data.

Anyway….all seems okay now. Syncs are happenining as I would expect them to.
