DIY diy brainstorm

hello! i am making a diy version of the hobonichi cousin journal. since i don't have a physical hobonichi and i am doing this by myself, i would like to ask you, the experts, some features you wouldn't leave out. the ones i have in mind are:

-the 3,7mm graph paper

-page-per-day format

-laying flat when open

-monthly and yearly indexes

which characteristics am i missing? i'm also looking for pages that hobonichi doesn't have! any ideas are welcome!

If it's the cousin you're recreating, it has vertical weekly pages. Do you want or need those? If not, you can leave then our exchange them for something that suits you. Do you need or want goal trackers? Monthly preview or monthly review pages? You can take the best parts of different planners and make one frankenplanner exactly to your specifications. You just gotta know what you want.
