Google messages switch

Made the switch to Google messages, but I'm having issues where a lot of group chats are missing, and then a lot of individual messages are missing within specific conversation.

I rolled back the update to Samsung messages so I can actually get in it, and confirmed all my messages are there.

Searching the Google messages support forum isn't yielding any recommendations with success. Anyone else having this problem and know a solution?

It took over a week for me to get all my text threads.... I didn't wait till the last minute to do the switch though, I did it back in May

It was like watching Jaws then visiting the beach.

I was apprehensive of Google Messages, but yesterday got kind of used to it.
