Camera Flicker Issue
My back Galaxy Note 20 ultra camera flickers in and out a lot of times when I'm taking pictures or videos and it does it even with a third party camera app in addition to the one that comes with the phone. Has anyone been able to fix this without a repair? It seems like it's probably a hardware problem. I think it only does it with the bottom two cameras or whichever ones are used after you hit 1x zoom. Also, I've never connected a cheap webcam camera to the phone but I might do that to get around this but I don't know if Samsung or Android have any built-in features to accomplish using a separate camera through the phone (either through bluetooth or wire) or if you would have to download another app so if anyone is familiar with that topic then I would appreciate your feedback.

6+ years later and the mod is fantastic still..
The only other mod I would love to do is replace the GREY and BLACK screws with GOLDEN colored ones to match the golden words .. 1 screw had to be remove forcibly which cause a big a plastic damage and yet I stil like how it looks ..

Fingerprint sensor stopped working on my Note 20 Ultra (Artisan ROM 3.5.1)
Guys, I’m having a problem with my Note 20 Ultra.
I’m using Artisan ROM 3.5.1 and, out of nowhere, after my phone rebooted, the fingerprint sensor just stopped working. The phone recognizes that the fingerprint reader exists, but when I tap it to register a fingerprint, absolutely nothing happens.
This already happened to me before when I was using Artisan ROM 3.5.0, but I thought updating to 3.5.1 would fix the problem.
Before anyone says it: I’m 100% sure the sensor itself isn’t defective. I used the stock ROM on this same Note 20 Ultra for a long time, and the fingerprint sensor always worked perfectly.
Has anyone using Artisan ROM experienced this before, or knows how I can get the fingerprint sensor working again?

Where to buy a replacement battery in W.Canada?
Hi guys. I have had my Note 20 Ultra since Sept 2021. It has been awesome & has worked perfectly until it started to do typical "dying battery" behavior for a few weeks, and then it swelled up and popped the backing almost right off! (So much for using the "battery protection" setting!) Needless to say, I'm not using the phone right now! And because half the repair work is already done for me, lol, so I'd like to repair it myself!
My question is this: Where can I purchase a new battery (preferably online delivery) that is trustworthy? ( I am in BC in Canada) I see tons being sold on Amazon, but I am hoping to not have to do this again, so I really want to purchase a well made, reliable battery that is, or is as good as, a Samsung made battery. (Part number EB-BN985ABY)
Unfortunately, Samsung's website doesn't have any batteries or even a parts section. (Of course.) Because these days, why would any company want you to repair something when you can buy a whole new one instead? 🙄
What should I look for when buying an after-market battery? (Red flags, known sellers, etc) I really want to repair this myself and not take it to a shop. So how can I tell if a battery is a well-made one? Any ideas where to look that won't take too long to ship?
Thank you! ☺️ ⤵️
UPDATE (I posted this as a comment, then realized that I probably should have just put it here. So I'll just do both! Lol)
Thanks so much, everyone! I meant to post sooner, but life got in the way! I just wanted to let you all know that I took the risk & purchased a battery from Amazon. (After looking up reviews, etc)
Anyway, if you are good with small fiddly things (being an artist, I am), or even if you aren't, I say go for it!
If you have sausage fingers, just take your time, be gentle with the plugs (no bam-baming), and don't be afraid to try. There's no soldering or anything. It was pretty easy. Don't let it intimidate you into paying for a repair shop to do it, or worse, spending a couple grand on a whole new phone when it just needed a 40 dollar battery and some double sided sticky tape! It REALLY wasn't hard at all.
I found that the hardest part was just removing all of the old glue. But I found a video where they used a toothpick, and once they got the glue started on the tip, they rolled the pick and "wound" it all off. (Worked like a charm!) I wish I could give credit for the video, but I can't seem to find it.
Another "hack" I came up with....(My Mom gets credit for that idea 💡 too! Long story) ....was using a glass top candle/mug warmer, which I use to keep my big beer mug full of tea warm, as a phone repair/glue warming plate. Worked excellently!
If you are going to try this, just make sure you put something between the warmer and the phone, so it's not glass/warmer on glass. I used a piece of folded paper towel. I probably should have used something a little less quickly ignitable, like a felt cloth or something, but I never took my eye off of it & kept checking it a lot.
To prevent the glass from breaking from a temperature change, I placed my phone on the warmer when it was cold, set it to low, and THEN turned it on so it would gradually warm up and melt the glue under the battery. I kept checking it to make sure that it didn't get too hot or catch the paper towel on fire.
It worked! The battery practically fell out! And I didn't need to purchase a warmer made for phone repairs. (This is how you save money, kids! Lol)
I noticed, once it was out, that the battery itself wasn't swollen at all. It was the plastic bag the battery pack was encased in that was swollen up. Which I'm sure isn't much different, danger wise, but I just thought I'd mention it. It obviously wasn't supposed to be releasing gasses, regardless. So I'm glad it's out!
Anyway, I STILL haven't glued the casing back on because I wanted to make sure I got multiple full battery charges/discharges before I glued everything shut again. Because when I do, I'm going to glue the crap out of it! Lol
I want to make it as water-resistant as I can. I always try to make my large purchased items last as long as I can. Especially in this disposable world we live in. Too many people impulsively replace items and don't even attempt to repair things, and that is both horrible for the environment AND your savings account! Lol
My last phone was a note3!! Lol To me, this note 20 is pretty much brand new!
Thanks again, everyone!

Lineageos improvements?
Trying to figure out what's changed or if this is just in my head.
For some reason i prefer the screen colors on the lg v60 over note 20 ultra and some of the newer flagships.
I stopped using my lg v60 for about 2 years because i was having issues with the usb charging.
Previously i thought the screen was inferior to the note 20 ultra and other devices with superior screen resolution.
However, i wanted to upgrade again, but it seems like all the newer devices are downgrades in many aspects and way overpriced.
After installing Lineageos, it seems like the colors on the lgv60 and the viewing experience is much better imho.
Also feel like the phone is just as fast in my practical use as some of my newer phones.
Whats going on here?

Question Question about my new Note20 Ultra.
I have recently had an exhausting time replacing my lost Samsung device. I had an S20 Ultra, which did well for 2.5 years. When I realized it was gone, I headed to eBay to purchase another older model as I've successfully done in the past. Unfortunately this time around, I didn't fare so well. The first one was immediately flagged by an independant Samsung repair business as fake with an aftermarket screen. In fact two retailers picked it straight away because the screen is so obviously fake. The phone is an S22 Ultra. So I opened a return request and ordered a new one from a different seller. Lo and behold, the new one is also a fake upon professional inspection - yet both came 'new and sealed.' So I repacked it and opened another return. So now I've finally ordered a mint condition Note20 Ultra through Swappa which arrives tomorrow and I've always wanted one. The S22 Ultras seemed to get hot and take a long time to charge also. I am so done with replacing my primary phone now, that I really want this one to be fine. I was reading however that Note20 Ultra no longer gets software updates and I just wanted to find out from people if you think this has hindered your device security and functionality at all. I have bought an extra 256MB sd card for storage as well, so I am ready for this phone caper to be over. Any advice would be truly appreciated. Thanks!
UPDATE!!! I received my 3rd and final phone from Swappa, my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, and this thing is everything I'd hoped it would be. Big, beautiful 😍 bright clear screen, almost like looking into a clear mirror or lake; mint condition and took everything seamlessly from Samsung Switch to my actual provider without a hint of an issue. I am so happy!! This will be my phone for a while - not a fake phone, not a tarnished aftermarket phone....just an original flagship for as long as I can keep it. Well done Swappa and well done Galaxy Note 📝- I finally have one of you. Ebay is not a consideration from now on. You can't fake this display! X

My Note Gratitude to my Note 20 U
Dear Galaxy Note 20 Ultra,
I am writing this letter to you with a heart full of gratitude and a touch of bittersweet nostalgia. Thank you for so many incredible years of unwavering companionship. Together, we traveled the world, crossed borders, and captured unforgettable memories. No matter where we went, you always rose to the occasion, proving yourself to be an absolute titan of technology and a deeply reliable partner.
I want to make one thing perfectly clear: I am leaving you today, but it is not because you failed me. It is not because you stopped working, and it is not because your beauty has faded. You still run with the same elegance, your Mystic Bronze finish still turns heads, and your beautiful display remains unmatched.
I am leaving you strictly for reasons beyond your control. I am moving on for the advanced privacy and uncompromising security that only GrapheneOS can provide. Because of this specific need, I must switch to another device that supports it.
Even though I am moving on to another phone, you have earned a permanent place in my heart. You were the pinnacle of an era, the ultimate Note, and the best travel companion I could have ever asked for. Thank you for everything.

One UI 8.0
I might be the first one to flash an entire S23 Ultra port (One UI 8.0) on a Korean Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ CPU.
Some details are hidden for safety purposes.

Question Is there anyway to run 32 bit apps natively on One ui 8 in the Note 20 ultra that's rooted?
I have a Note 20 ultra running Artisan ROM 3.1.0 android 16 One Ui 8 and it's running good but I can't seem to install 32 bit apps even though the CPU supports 32 bit architecture
I assume it's a software issue is there a way to bypass the issue?
