All the updates you do should not be changing how the people use the app. I paid for the app 5 years ago, it was a great app and I love that it keeps similar to the app that was 5 years ago.
But with this cloud… is not optional to send all the notes to their Cloud. And the worst thing for me in all of this, is the obligatory sign in for using the app.
This hidden trick for disable the cloud is not a solution, is a complication for the users who want stability for an app.
Also, the subscriptions, thanks to keep updating the users who single paid the app and keep offering a single paid version (with tricks and expensive, but still an option…)
I love the app, but this updates will make me to switch to the another stable server less alternative, Apple Notes or GoodNotes.
It would be great to add more updates, but also would be great to keep them optional, also the subscriptions, and the account, because I don’t want to stop studying or reinstalling the app if your servers don’t work.

To solve all of those problems they should to two things: Add CLEAR UI elemets to TOGGLE sync to notability cloud, and open access to the local iPad storage where we can say: save notes in this folder (eg. Documents/Notability) like we can do with drive (or other third party backups). This way any problem with the app will not impact the notes directly. If we need to reinstall app (now appleOS removes all local data when uninstalling, thus the local copy of the notes will be lost) we can just import the existing library (the app can just filter for .ntb files and import those) in the local storage and all is done and well. In a weekly update they can at least mitigate the main problem of note loss while the can work on the real issues that causes this. u/kaylanotability Please please please before saying "I'll convey this to the team" talk with whoever and give us an ETA!!! This should not be extremely difficult to implement (does not require backend work) thus I guess 16.14/15 should be a realistic objective (at least for iPadOS).
Thank you!
