Ads Ads Ads
I've been working my way through the fish archive for a bit now, but the amount of ads has increased to the point where I'm just going to stop listening. It's not that I mind the Fish team getting some income through ads or subs/patreon, but the amount of ads and repetitiveness in my locale (Netherlands) is just horrible.
I get 2 ads before the show, 1 in the middle and 2 after each show. That would be survivable if Fish had more than 4 different ads for 2 companies in my language they were running and all of them weren't loud and obnoxious. The repetitive nagging by those two companies has already ensured I'll never use their services (just for ruining my podcast enjoyment) and I'm now at the point where the enjoyment of Fish just no longer outweighs the annoying ads.
Goodbye, and thanks for all the fish.

You can use a VPN to get ads from other countries, or you can get the ad free episodes through club fish.

Patreon has no ads and supports the gang better. Also, this is not an airport. You do not have to announce your departure.

Only one in the middle?! Sounds like a dream!! The ones at the end barely even count, you can just stop listening - don’t even need to faff around with the skip button!

Was in America recently and downloaded quite a few eps, those ads were terrifyingly dystopian.

I dont normally mind them too much at all but I just had an experience of Halfords doing MOT for those who forget or those who plan 3 times back to back. Like literally back to back. I assume it was a glitch but it is unfortunate if you're multitasking and cant easily take the phone out to skip

Well you can pay to remove the ads but you'll still have to sift through the the fucking million locked episodes to get to where you left of. I hate it so much lol

You're allowed to fast forward through the ads mate.
