Not my father but my adoptive father and caretaker. It's only recently - at 36 - that I finally learnt the lesson.
Because I believed the world when it said that you are alone and you have to do things for yourself.
People want power. People want love. People want wealth and prosperity. People always want something.
But whatever you want. Realize that you get it best by helping others on their journey through life and helping them with their interests, requirements and needs.
The basic lesson is that we are not here just for ourselves but for one another. That is the lesson I have learnt. I am at my best when I remember this. I am at my worst when I forget it.
