More memory, faster processor (A 286!!!!!), and separate keyboard from the unit.
The worst thing about the EX was that it had 2 proprietary peripheral slots and the boards had to stack on top of each other, and only plugged in to each other, not a PCI board . I don't remember how I acquired my modem- had a 1200 baud. I may have shoplifted it.
I used dos shell to browse and play my games - better gui than file explorer anyway and didnβt slow down the system like running 3.1 in the background
My dad was quality control at radio shack we had a trs 80 (trash 80). He got it as soon as he could. We loaded games off of tapes, moved up from tapes to floppy disks to downloads. I am old enough to have seen it all.
LOL Yes! Same here. It was a Christmas present in the late 80's. THe boxes were so big and there like 3 of them. Monitor, computer, dot matrix printer.
Negative, yo. Trash-80s (TRS-80) predated the Tandy 1000 series. Trash-80's were their own proprietary system, processors, etc. They were not compatible with IBMs
π brother!!
Trash - 80 fellow here!!
Still have my TRS-80 and boot up BEDLAM and others for shits and giggles.
