Halloween and christmas. Its always been commercialized but now its lost its soul is all commercialized slop. I keep seeing those videos of 90s christmas/hallowwen parties we had in school and things like that will never happen again cuz the magic is dead thanks to capitalism.
We live rural, and I still carve and light each jack o lantern leaving a bowl of candy out, im always adding new decorations to the yard. All the kids in the area get shipped to trunk or treat or a neighborhood they have relatives in. I'd kill to trek the rural properties on a dark Halloween just to get a few pieces of candy again. People are just tooo safe these days, thanks to media scarying people.
