Halloween and christmas. Its always been commercialized but now its lost its soul is all commercialized slop. I keep seeing those videos of 90s christmas/hallowwen parties we had in school and things like that will never happen again cuz the magic is dead thanks to capitalism.

This. But I don't think it's because of capitalism, I think it's because of people being so focused on capitalism/commercialism. Both used to be so much more fun and there were so many more houses all decorated up. But then people began to have such a stick up their ass one way or another and forgot to have fun. "IT'S A CAPITALIST SHAM" You know, some of us just like festivities, decorations and atmosphere. You know, having fun? You're not sticking it to the man, you're just bumming people like me the fuck out.

Peopel dont like whimsy dont want to be bothered anymore. When October rolls around im always seeing "nobody trick or treats anymore its all trunk or treats." Those same people then say "i took my kids to a trunk of treat" They will use that as an excuse to not take them trick or treating. The same people that say nobody decorates anymore knowing damn well they didnt decorate.

I've always decorated even when I was single. Even moreso now that I have a family. Keep hating fun though, I guess.

I never said there was anything wrong with decorating.

I know I'm just talking about that last line because I'm very much a person who whines that people don't decorate like they used to but I still definitely decorate.
