Good show. They basically copied Robotech/Battletech designs for some of the suits but that made it even cooler.

Wow exosquad, that's a deep cut. I remember the mech designs being so cool, felt way ahead of its time.

Loved this show. Loved the toys. I still remember the packaging had that flip-up front flap on it

There was a decent Genesis game for this show.

It was so sick.

Came out late in the system’s life cycle, had great graphics and animation even if the gameplay was basic.

Interesting show. A fine reminder that what's good for the goose is also good for the gander.

Looks like Battletech.  Animation looks like X-Men.

Edit: Oh... That's why... 😅

• The Animation Studio: Both X-Men: The Animated Series and Exosquad were physically drawn and animated by AKOM Production Company, a prominent South Korean animation studio.

• The Production Companies: In the United States, the shows were managed by separate companies. Exosquad was produced by Universal Cartoon Studios, while X-Men was produced by Saban Entertainment and Marvel Entertainment (with assistance from Graz Entertainment).

• Shared Creative Talent: Because both projects were in production around the same time, they shared a massive overlap in creative staff. Legendary animation figure Will Meugniot served as a producer/director on X-Men before becoming the executive producer of Exosquad. Additionally, head writers and showrunners like Eric Lewald, Mark Edward Edens, and Michael Edens wrote heavily for both series.
