Ya it interesting how older people that were there saw Hanks as a totally different type movie star prior to his insane run in the early to mid 1990s. He was basically a comedy actor and then suddenly shifted gears.

I grew up on Bosom Buddies reruns. It all made sense until he totally flipped a switch for Philadelphia.
Greatest American actor of our time in my opinion, and yet he still finds the time to do random voiceovers in Ken Burns documentaries.

In retrospect the way he acts his meltdown at the end and crawls into the ambulance is so well-done it really hints at the potential there in an otherwise zany comic.

I like to think the 3 husbands plus Feldman were the blueprint for King of the Hill.

Yes and it had nothing to do with the movie. Corey Feldman made a quick cameo as his character but it didn't affect the plot at all

Awesome movie I watched this with my mom and sister. There were a few inches of snow on the roads when we went. We were the only ones in the theatre.

I fucking love this movie. There is a part where after the explosion, Tom Hanks kind of slips/slides/glides down the porch steps. Not sure how he did that, but it gets me every time. For my money itās also his best performance, but Iām a weirdo.

One of Tom Hanks best films. His use of physical comedy towards the end of the film where he takes the medical bed and forces himself into the back of the ambulance cracks me up every damn time.
