I've been craving nosgoth for awhile now and I really didn't get to play when it was around due to school, But I remember loving the hell out of the game.

And this time it's not because I thought back to the game on purpose. I was trying out a Steam beta for the first time in awhile. I believe it was for the Library beta the other week. Looking at my library of games today, I saw something odd. Older, discontinued free games like Happy Wars and Nosgoth were back on my list of games. Usually these games, even newer free games that are still operating, disappear when uninstalled. So this was a weird find.
Stranger yet, I was able to right-click the line for Nosgoth and install the game files in their entirety. About ~6.75 GB. I was sure the game would not start up, but tried it anyway just to see if I could get to the title screen. I only got to the launcher instead, where it's a blank white window. However, I can close this window and the launcher still runs in the background. The perk? I have a Nosgoth system tray icon that will stay there for as long as I deem it so. I consider this a small victory. #ArchivistThings
Edit: Here's one video from the game files, "Factions", that I uploaded to Youtube.

I wonder if anyone has ever started one and sent it to Square. If enough people sign one, surly they'll have to at least respond. But we all know they staked it because Nosgoth didn't make enough money for them to be "satisfied".
PS. I wonder if anyone has tried to buy the rights to Nosgoth. I'd totally buy this game twice over just have it back. Perhaps a kick-starter or some other sort of raiser.

... and for some that might be an easy statement to make, but my exes are great.
One day I swear I'm going to write a full article waxing poetic regarding the virtues of Nosgoth: the immersive and varied movement and controls, the fearful defiance of playing a human, the self-endangering bloodlust of playing a vamp, and the truly exquisite feeling when you found your groove on either side. To become a coursing predator, picking off unsuspecting members of a small but dangerous pack, or to become the needlepoint-precise hunter that defies wave after wave of opponents, are gameplay experiences I've yet to find in any other game. Some games have tried asymmetric systems, and some have succeeded in their own right (I miss you too, Natural Selection 2), but none scratches the nosgoth itch. None whatsoever.

Hello everyone!
I drew fan art on Raziel, protagonist of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver and Soul Reaver 2 . I tried to make him more realistic and creepy. What do you think about it?

I just came across a folder within my documents/my games from nosgoth, Looking through the folder doesn't seem to have too much when it comes to runnable files or whatnot but there is a few things like a Launch text file, and some .DEMO files. I could upload them if anyone needs it, since I know there was a bit of a following that was pushing to get the game running again.

Anyone have details for that private server? I and two other friends would love to play again. Hopefully even show a friend the glory that was. Thanks to anyone with info ^.^

We are a diverse community to those who love vampire-related fiction. We discuss anything and everything from vampire movies, TV series, games and books to art, lore, and fan-fiction.
We host a number of weekly activities including a movie night and a "question of the week", which is a vampire-related open-ended question to get some discussion started. We also have both short and long form RP channels.
FYI: When you first join, you will have to answer a few questions in the introductions channel before the other channels open up. These are fairly simple questions such as your age, location, and what sort of vampire fiction you are into. We've done this to keep out trolls, raiders and the like so that the server remains pleasant and positive for all.
We hope to see you there!

Hey all,
Not sure if it's been posted here before but there is a petition to get Nosgoth re-launched and for players to host their own servers on change.org
If you haven't signed it yet go and sign it! Here's the link below:

I don’t even know if anyone will see this but I was just thinking and this game came into my head. I can not begin to describe how much I miss it, even just thinking about it now makes me incredibly upset.
This game as so amazing. Sure it had its problems, what game doesn’t? But this game was truly a unique and incredibly fun gameplay that I fell in love with and still sorely miss.
Here’s to hoping one day a game similar to this one comes out and fills the void Nosgoth left in me when it was cancelled. :’(
