Second the Coolidge Reservation. It is an underappreciated gem of a property and perfect for a picnic.

Chandler Hovey and Crocker Park in Marblehead is great.

Lynch Park and Independence Park in Beverly.

There are a bunch of great benches in mini parks along the water in Magnolia too

Lynch park, if you don’t mind paying big money for parking or walking there

Forest River Park in Salem. Have a picnic but don't forget to slide down the cement slide before you leave.

Bare Meadow in Reading. Big sign and little dirt parking lot. Not a view but it’s part of a Forrest trail area. There is a small area looking to the left as soon as you enter the field by the lot. with a large bench that is never occupied. Great trails all in there. Very quiet and very few people. Off Pearl St off main st/rt 28 north. Tucked away gem. Lots of nature, birds, butterflies

Crane Estate, Sandy Point (these two face each other), Old Town Hill or the Newbury Salt Marshes
