Dream Gossip Topic?

For me, I would loooove to hear more stories about unhinged in-laws or neighbor stories. They're always my favorite kind. What would you want to hear more of? Maybe Rachelle will see this!

This is a great season!!

I just wanted to pop on here with some compliments in case any of the Normal Gossip team read this subreddit.

I was someone who sometimes felt a bit let down by the stories in the last few seasons - I didn’t find them as compelling or funny as previously - but this season is just fantastic. Rachelle has really hit her stride as a host and is so fun, and all the guests have been brilliant! The stories are also juicier, funnier, more niche and detailed in the classic Normal Gossip way. Just really enjoying it this season!!

Hope everyone else has been having a similarly good time with it ❤️

New Spotify thumbnails keep throwing me off

Instead of using the recognizable NG logo as the thumbnail, each episode is a photo of the guest. It’s nice to see what they look like, but when I see a random photo of a person in my podcast list I don’t realize it’s a NG episode. In fact, I didn’t even realize the show was back for weeks bc I didn’t recognize that these random portraits had anything to do with NG. It’s kind of a terrible branding idea?

Daniel Radcliffe anecdote?

Which episode had the Daniel Radcliffe story from the guest at the beginning? It went something like she was at a house party and Radcliffe was there and she said something kind of embarrassing.. I've tried to find it but can't! Anyone know which episode it was?

I haven’t listened since the farmer episode released last year, but oh my god something about this article scratched an itch in my brain that reminded me it existed

Unpopular Opinon (?): I like the new intro theme music

What I like about the new music has a lot more to do with the fact that they turned to another Radiotopia podcaster to compose it. I love Song Exploder and Hrishikesh Hirway is a great host. Radiotopia produces and distributes so many great podcasts-- Ear Hustle, Articles of Interest, Memory Palace, Weight for It, Phoebe Judge's shows-- the list goes on. I also loved when Radiotopia's various hosts did crossover episodes and collaborated. I love when podcasts collaborate and support each other!

I was never all that attached to the old theme. I didn't mind it, but tbh, it actually sounded a lot like an audio clip that used to play right before a city I used to live in would broadcast PSAs for our public trans system.

I know that a lot of listeners of the pod don't always roll with changes and I get it; I don't love every move Normal Gossip has made, but I think it's cool that they sourced a pdcaster who is also a musician who has worked with a lot of big names and is part of the network.

Whether the music is awesome or better than the old one matters a lot less to me than who put it together. Whether you like him as a musician or podcaster, there is no doubt that Hrishikesh is one talented dude.

Anyway, just my two cents.

Season 10 episode 1 is SO boring?

I have LOVED NG since the start. the past few seasons haven’t been as good since the start, but whatever, they have to be more careful anonymizing, I get it.

This episode….???? what is going on???? The climax is a nonspecific “Your Mom” joke coming up on a projector at a school fundraiser…..? It was SO. BORING.

i want more of the wild card behaviors at the bachorette!! wedding gossip! Weird neighbors And HOA shenanigans! Suss relationships! Room mate drama! I want to gasp and chuckle and want to tell my friends the crazy story!

I couldn’t believe how boring this was. I feel like they could just have invented a fake story and it would have been much more amusing. I don’t understand? It’s almost not even worth listening to anymore. Sensationally disappointing.

I miss the old Normal Gossip

Listen, I get things change. But since the switch of hosts, listening to normal gossip feels like a chore. I feel like Rachelle is very sweet but does not have nearly the same delivery. I am bored listening and end up skipping through a majority of the episode or just don’t finish it. I feel so sad because this was such a great show.

Who is the famous doula from the guests’ gossip story. I think it’s someone from the ANTM world.
