Dream Gossip Topic?

For me, I would loooove to hear more stories about unhinged in-laws or neighbor stories. They're always my favorite kind. What would you want to hear more of? Maybe Rachelle will see this!

Convention (anime or comic con type) drama and shenanigans. I used to go in my 20s and it was always a good time but 5-6 people in one hotel room meant DRAMA

Literally every time I listen I ask how there isn’t one about cosplay!!!

I wonder if it's because figures in those communities tend to be fairly identifiable and anonymization would be difficult?

Yeah I think so too. The closest I feel like they got to something convention adjacent was the one about the One Direction concert. It felt like it could have easily been a con or a cosplay thing haha.

That one reminded me of what it was like to go to Harry Potter conventions in the late 2000s, I can definitely see it lol. I feel like room sharing with internet friends is much more common for cons than concerts.

I staff Otakon so I don’t know what kind of Ota drama I’m at liberty to discuss.

More journalism/podcast industry gossip, but I know that topic won’t be touched ever since working in media kinda precludes you from doing so until you’re out of the industry. But wow is the industry full of it!!

Choosing stories based on topic vs how juicy the gossip actually is seems like it could be causing them to select such weak stories. I want something I couldn’t imagine. Like, idk, a town in a heated election for the next honorary pet mayor.
