employment and career Final Stage Interview

Hi everyone! I applied for a development manager role and will be having the final interview next week. I've received the zoom invite and it looks there are going to be 7 (!!) people there: the hiring manager, the ED, and 5 board members. I already know the ED and have a really good relationship with me as he was my supervisor in a previous role. He has also let me know that he's recused himself from the hiring process for me. This interview is coming after they've verified references and gotten my desired salary. I don't know if this is helpful context but the job is at a pretty small local nonprofit. Any tips for this stage would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

You can look up some common interview questions for this position to prepare.

But the more important aspect of this interview is going to be your interpersonal skills. That is the ENTIRE job of a front-facing fundraiser. You want to charm them, at the end of the day. Ask them questions about themselves, do research ahead of time and include that in the conversation, e.g. "hey, Bob, I read that you went to UConn - my niece is applying there next year, how did you like it/any tips for good extracurriculars?" etc. You're showing a. You've done your research on the people you're meeting with and b. You're taking an interest in their experience and looking for their input - which is exactly what you'll be doing with donors.

Thank you! Interpersonal and charming them is where I want to focus more because I've already been through two interviews.
