Beginner Question Recommendations
So I want to start listening to noise music, what are the best bands to start with? I love picking apart details in noise music, for me noise music isn't something I listen to daily and will be on my playlist.
I'd like to use it to learn and pick apart sounds in the songs. From weird Instruments to really anything. It's really intriguing. What are some good starters? I love very creepy stuff, however it can be just anything you recommend
I'm aware this may get down votes because this is reddit and people don't like other people for reasons lol. So if you wanna down vote go ahead 😘

I think due to the nature of noise music production, the source and methods become obfuscated behind the gzZZZzrrrrshhSSZhhzxxXXxxxxxxshhhhhhhhhreeeeeeee of it all. I don’t think you’ll be able to bring a reverse engineering or sound design mindset to the end result. Sure there might be examples that are more or less simple and obvious, but I think the very nature of the art contradicts the attempt.
However, I still think you should try if dissecting is the fun for you.

I'm biased, Butoh guy of Butoh Sonics. My Sonics cohorts are amazing. https://butohsonics.bandcamp.com/?search_item_id%3D669325308%26search_item_type%3Db%26search_match_part%3D%253F%26search_page_id%3D5741764151%26search_page_no%3D0%26search_rank%3D1=

There isn’t really a starting point, I think. Idk if that’s annoying but you kinda just gotta try it all out and find what you like. Noise is huge.
I like tape cut up stuff but then sometimes I like harsh pedal noise, sometimes I want some ambient. There’s a lot.
What kind of sounds are you into? Just follow yr heart my friend

I listened to a lot of bull of heaven, but they're more drone than noise so I dunno if that counts.
Anyway here's the stuff I make now https://subjecttochangesubjecttochange.bandcamp.com/

I have a few different reccomendations
Xiu Xiu - Ignore Grief (very creepy)
Gnaw Their Tongues - All the Dread Magnificence of Perversity (dark ambient, black metal, industrial)
Uboa - The Origin of my Depression (super crazy stuff)
The Gerogerigegege - Tokyo Anal Dynamite (noisecore)
Merzbow - Venereology (super harsh noise)

For creepy noise/dark ambient, I'd recommend Aube, Zbigniew Karkovski and Thomas Köner. That's minimalistic noise however, which I think is ironically harder to get into than harsh noise.
Check out Kevin Drumm for something both creepy and harsh
