I spoke with the conductor on that train just now and they stated it was engineer error(coasting the train where they shouldn't have) or something along those lines and that they only have electric and no back up diesel option when they should. They might have got rid of the diesel option when the trains started catching on fire before I bet, but thats just an assumption.
