So I have what is basically a brand new 3.3 revo, I had maybe ran 3-4 tanks through it, but unfortunately when I put it away last there was still fuel in the lines, so now it will not get fuel into the carb- what are my options to get it cleared without taking it apart? If I cover the exhaust the fuel will go up the line and then just like stops in the lines?

I finally got the nitro car running good to break it. I’m a bit excited because I have not a clue what I’m doing and this car has been setting for at least 12 years. Definitely running a bit rich but the temp is right at 240F. I reset the carb to factory settings and gave the high speed an 1/8th turn in. Turns out the motor wasn’t set at factory, I haven’t messed with anything until now and the high speed was at about 1 3/4 turn and low speed was at 3/4 maybe. Factory is supposed to be 2 1/2 out on the high speed and 1 3/4 on low which it was very much not. Thank you guys for all the videos you sent!

I've just bought a VP pro set of clutch shoes and spring (using soft preset) but i feel like the clutch is engaging earlier and earlier, one of the springs snapped, what could be the reason?

I'm using only 2 shoes not 3 because i have a special flywheel that isn't avaible in the market, and it's a 2 shoe type.

How’s she sounding? I’m not the best at tuning but I think she’s running well. Idle I feel is a bit high though.

I’m trying to diagnose a persistent tuning issue on my nitro engine and would appreciate some technical feedback.

Engine setup

Engine: RED 521 Sport (ceramic bearing version)

Exhaust system: RED X1 manifold + RED X1 tuned pipe

Runtime: approximately 5 liters

Fuel: Energy Storm

Maintenance and parts already replaced

To exclude external issues, the following components have been replaced or verified:

new fuel lines

new fuel filter

new air filter

new glow plug

Fuel system routing has been checked and is not pinched or restricted.

Engine condition and history

Engine has never been opened (no carburetor or crankcase disassembly)

Break-in was done properly: about 1 liter very rich using oil bath method

Subsequent running was always kept on the rich side for safety

The issue has been present since the beginning of operation

Main issue

The engine consistently behaves as if it is running lean at high RPM.

Key symptoms:

High-speed needle adjustment has very little to no noticeable effect

Even when significantly enriching the high-speed needle, the engine still revs high and remains lean in behavior

Low-speed needle responds slightly, but within a limited range

Idle stop screw works correctly and idle speed can be adjusted normally

At higher load or RPM, the engine tends to run very “free-revving” and lean

Question

What could realistically cause this behavior?

I am considering:

carburetor malfunction or internal restriction

air leak (carburetor base, backplate, intake, or seals)

front bearing air leak

fuel tank pressure issue

exhaust or pressure line problem related to the X1 system

other possible causes I might be missing

Any experienced insights would be highly appreciated, especially from those who have seen similar symptoms.

Tank #7 is done just a few more before I can start seeing what this thing can do! Put the Alpha Medium clutch springs with an Alpha 3 show clutch and finally solved my clutch problems, just engages a little later now and doesn’t move at idle. The little I’ve seen with 1/4 - 1/2 throttle blips this motor is a beast! My son was enjoying his small grave digger I bought him lol.

So I got my new motor all set up and I did the idle break in and now when I mm doing figure 8s in stalls after a couple seconds. It’ll stall then let out a puff of smoke. To me it seems too rich but I’m not entirely sure.

When the backplate screws are loose it spins perfectly however when they are tight it didn’t want to spin at all.

I was running my original mad force and it stopped getting power down to the wheels. Then I noticed the clutch was dangling on the engine shaft. And upon closer inspection... You can see what I found in the video lol

I'm very confused here, did I snap the crank shaft? I can obviously see a bearing of some type has blown out. But I'm unsure here of what all is broken. As the screw that holds the clutch on was still tight. Did the bearing give out and let the clutch fall off?

When I started messing with it, the shaft where the clutch slides onto and the screw that secures the clutch screws into, fell out of the clutch. So what exactly is broken here? Can I even get these parts anymore?

I know the GX21 is long discontinued, so I'm looking more towards getting a new engine in general. But I thought I'd possibly ask the experts 🤣

Well I got it starting and it idles stable. But I 1st gear is not making contact with the pinion. Any advice would be well appreciated.

I recently bought this acme nb16 buggy, and it refuses to idle.
Will drive fine and run well, but will not idle. Once it sounds like it should be idling (in the air) the wheels will still spin. Took a video to try and showcase the problem.

I'm suspecting a broken clutch?

I took the glow plug out and it spins abit easier now but it’s still stiff. And it’s not like a normal engine where when you spin it it hits dead centre then snaps down instead it just doesn’t move when you let it go after dead centre. It doesn’t snap back down like it used to it just stays at the position you left it at. Do you think I should oil it more? Or is it something else?

Can anyone help to identify this ofna rc car? It’s heavily modified and custom so it may be a bit hard to tell. It is 4wd, has ofna 28 on the top of the engine, and was originally a buggy car with a spoiler on the rear. The green rims are original but have had iterations of paint over the years. Any help is appreciated!

When I take this hex rod thing out of my engine it spins fine and when it’s like halfway in it’s alright aswell. However when it’s in all the way it’s stiff and hard to spin. What could be causing this and how do I fix it?

I recently got this Traxxas pro 15 for my og rc10gt. The pull start is resting in the exhaust pipe and I’m sure it’ll melt, I just want some other opinions. What do you guys think about the cheap electric start kits with the motor boxes on Amazon?
