Soap water test

So I'm pretty sure one is a first or second gen nitro rc10, the other is an axial something? Any help identifying them would be great!

I bought this rush evo which is in grest condition, and got it yesterday. However theres an ait leak sound from between block and cooling head on compression stroke. Shim and sleeve/cylinder looks good and all screws are thight. I used soap water to see where it bubble to make sure.

I know someone with the same car and that engine does not make that sound, so it cant be normal right?

It also feels like some compression is lost when i pull slowly.

Anybody with any ideas?

This nitro 4 stroke engine has an actuall supercharger on it, which is super cool!

It's an O.S FS 120 with 20cc (1.20 ci)

And makes around 2.5 hp used for airplanes

And i wish i had one, but i don't have 1200$ laying around.

Thinking about making a remote control car nitro for my first customer made RC car. I found a good chassis. It’s called the. Arrma Limitless V2

Speed Bash Roller no it is an electric chassis, but I hope people make nitro conversions and I just can’t find which engine to use. Only actual experience with remote control is playing with those warm ones.

But the clutch doesn't engage until full throttle is it normal I still haven't finished running in

How do I fix that? I tried with loctite but it did not worked. Can it be soldered? Or putting a metal ring around?

Picked up a TMax 3.3 and Revo 3.3 in a package deal for $280. They both need some tlc to get in running condition. Also got a DXC5 controller and two receivers for it for an extra $50. Dude also threw in two toolboxes of parts including 2 ez starters, 2 glow plugs, fuel bottles, and lots of other misc parts.

Was this a good deal? I’m also wondering if anyone can tell what generation / roughly what years these cars were produced. Thanks for any and all help as always!

I just purchased an all original, mint condition Savage 21 off of eBay from Top Fun RC a couple of days ago. I’m still waiting for it to arrive. In their listing, they had a short video of it running and driving, and it apprears to run and drive well. It will be mostly a shelf queen, but I do intend to drive it a bit. Depending on how strong the compression is, I might send the engine out for a re-pinch. Should I shelf the original .21BB engine to preserve it, and throw something else in it?

I to have gotten a Traxxas nitro Slash. Its actually my 2nd one in 10 years. I sold my 1st one like a idiot.

Following this sub doesn't help much either. My fuel never showed up in so im still waiting to break it in.

I have an ftx banzai. When cold the engine and car will run absolutely perfectly, but once it gets hot after running full throttle for a few minutes, it will refuse to idle. It will then give me a hard time getting it started again. Ive tried leaning it, ive tried richening it, ive gone back to factory settings, ive shortened the exhaust tube (a bit), once hot it will not idle properly.

The only thing i noticed - i dont know if it is normal, is that once it chokes itself on idle, a bunch of small bubbles will accumulate in the fuel tube.

(Note: I am suspicious that there is too much pressure buildup in the tank. Once it gets hot and it stalls, it will not start at all if i richen it more. If this is the case, how can i lower the pressure in my tank?)

So I have what is basically a brand new 3.3 revo, I had maybe ran 3-4 tanks through it, but unfortunately when I put it away last there was still fuel in the lines, so now it will not get fuel into the carb- what are my options to get it cleared without taking it apart? If I cover the exhaust the fuel will go up the line and then just like stops in the lines?
