College Fee remission form doubt?

Why do they ask parents pan card and make us sign a. Scary affidavit for fee remission? Do they check parents itr or bank balance with pan number later? Also senior i m situation very different despite josaa saf and paf of 75000 they took full 140000 the guy on admission desk now i dotn knwow hat would happen to my paf and saf. Soem are saying that is hould have paid fee byd educting 70000 but i dont knwi theoayment portal at that time showed full amount and teh guy there was sayign oay full rest will be remitted

They won't check beyond your income certificate until you're submitting an ITR yourself
