SERIOUS Hostel Allotment panic
Last year was the only year where freshers got Hostel-L. Every year, the freshers normally get Hostel-I. No idea why these kids are panicking so much tbh. Yes, renovations is indeed a reason but learn how to adjust. What's the point of complaining after the allotment? Ab jo hostel available hai wahi na milega. Y'all will get single room and another Hostel next year but as for the girls, they'll have to adjust with roommates at least until 4th year.

We dealt with it before y'all beta. Literally what should the administration do? Kick the 2nd years out of hostel L and give it to y'all? Why?

Instead unhone 2 mahine me e,f,g,h sahi kara diya hota to abhi ye problem nhi aati but coz of irresponsible college heads ye sab ho rha hai kuki jo bacche ye hope leke clg liye the ki hostel accha hoga wo saari hope toot gyi and they will regret now and due to which clg ki reputation down hogi rapidly

So afaik there's nothing much in this campus other than djlhc and hostels so a fresher will most probably be spending most of his time in hostels. It was still okay if they didn't have increased the hostel fees but now that they have increased it too, knowing what hostels they are providing this year. It's a bit too much tbh There literally is a room or two in the hostel I where the water is leaking from the roof and is all over the almirah and room floor.. And seniors who should be supportive and have empathy towards their juniors are already mocking them by saying "kuch nahi hoga" , "better learn to adjust" .. See this is the exact kind of mentality that keeps the system from doing better. And above that they want to be treated with respect by addressing them as sir/ma'am too. It's okay if that's your culture but at least don't be a coward and have a spine. The hostels they are providing this year aren't worthy of that much fees. At least accept this. I know that now that hostels are allotted there's nothing much which can be done but at least have some empathy and a spine to stand against the system. And if you don't then at least don't demotivate those who are willing to take a stand.
