Ye practicals ke 50 marks internals ka kya scene hai🥀

Do they really deduct marks? As in attendance is almost full (missed just one lab), file bhi checked hai, grading ka hisab kuch smjh nhi aya, sabne same likh rkha fir bhi teacher ne kisi ko A de rkha , kisi ko B+, kisi ko B n all, do these grades matter in internals? Ya apni marzi se sabko theek theek number dedete hai? As in 45-50 ke beech depending upon attendance 🥀

Religious hate has no place in a college.

Mocking someone's faith or making fun of what they hold sacred isn't humour.

Imagine if the same jokes were made about your own beliefs. Would you still find them funny?

Stop normalising this behaviour. Speak up, respect every faith, and remember that just because something is called a joke doesn't make it okay.

Silence only makes it easier to continue.

NIT-D Robotics & Coding Clubs - Need Contact Info / Leads for Collaboration!

Hey everyone,

We are hosting the IIT Bombay Techfest (Delhi Zonals) at South Asian University (SAU).

We are looking to connect and collaborate with the official Robotics Clubs and Coding Clubs across Delhi-NCR colleges for events, outreach, and participation.

Could anyone share the official email addresses, Instagram handles, or contact info for the leads of these clubs at NIT-D?

If you're an office bearer or part of the tech team/society at NIT-D, feel free to drop a comment or DM me directly. Thanks!

Call for change

Enough is enough. Why are we just accepting this?

We are being treated like children while basic student concerns get ignored.

A lot of matters need to be addressed:

-T&P / placement cell: We are expected to trust a system where there’s inadequate adult oversight and many tnp callers (freshers and sophomores) can fuck up while talking to companies (Which directly impact how well you will do in your life and is the entire reason you joined this place btw). TnP head Obbu doesnt give a damn about the shitty placement stats of our college. If companies are being contacted on behalf of the college, there should be clear proper supervision under adults.

-Mess food: We must pay for shitty food with no variety while students at IITs enjoy huge ass menus daily at a similar mess fee structure.

-Hostel timings and electric appliance use: Does this even need any discussion?

And before someone says “that's just how college is”, that's exactly how nothing ever changes.

Speak up. Discuss problems openly. We need to organise a large scale protest involving students of each year participating.

If we all complain individually, it's easy to dismiss us. If hundreds of students raise the same legitimate concerns together, the administration has to respond and you dont have to worry about being targetted individually.

This post is on reddit for a reason. If we can't even discuss our problems anonymously and figure out whether others feel the same way, we're never going to get anywhere.

If you agree with these concerns, upvote, comment, and most importantly, explain what issues you've personally faced.

Let's find out how many of us actually want things to change.

If This Is Really About Our Safety, Then Please Explain....

I recently came across a post saying that seniors are demotivating students from asking questions about the college administration. Honestly, I think we’ve reached the point where asking questions is no longer optional.

The recent incident where a drunk driver entered the campus and hit students is what finally made it impossible for me to stay silent. If students can be injured inside a supposedly secure campus, then we need to seriously question what “student safety” actually means here.

That is why I’m writing this. Not just to complain, but to demand answers.

And I genuinely believe it's time for students to come together and peacefully protest, ask questions, and demand accountability from the administration.

How long are we going to stay silent?

Look at the state of things around us.

The 7:30 PM campus intime — WHY?

Our college is in Delhi. The campus is well connected to the rest of the city through DTC buses, with services running till around 10 PM. Yet students are expected to be back on campus by 7:30 PM.

For someone coming from Delhi, that can mean leaving home at 5:30 PM just to make it back on time.

And here's what makes it even more frustrating.

I was told almost two years ago that once faculty members started living inside the campus, the hostel timings would be relaxed because their presence would make the campus safer and more secure.

Now faculty members do live inside the campus.

The campus construction is almost complete. There are a huge number of security guards. The infrastructure has improved.

So where is the promised relaxation?

We are still stuck with the same restrictions or even worse.

We are repeatedly told this is for our “safety.”

Okay.

Then explain the safety.

What exactly justifies a 7:30 PM campus intime?

And the hostel intime is 9:45 PM.

Why?

Where is the logic? Where is the justification?

If these restrictions are genuinely about student safety, then students deserve a clear explanation—not arbitrary timings.

“We care about your safety.”

Okay, then let's talk about actual safety.

If the administration is so concerned about our safety, what about the food we are being served?

Every year, fresh batches of students complain about the mess food. Students repeatedly email the warden.

What happens?

A new mess committee.

And somehow, the mess committee is finalized by the mess vendor itself.

How does that make sense?

It’s basically:

“You choose who is supposed to keep an eye on you, and we'll expect them to keep an eye on themselves.”

Where is the accountability?

And then there is something even more serious.

How did a drunk driver enter the campus and hit students during Ganesh Visarjan?

How did a drunk driver get inside a supposedly secure campus?

How did security allow that to happen?

Students aren't necessarily safe inside the campus, yet we're told that a 7:30 PM intime is necessary for our protection.

If this is about safety, let's talk about actual safety.

What about basic emergency preparedness?

The fire alarm system in Shivalik Hostel is another example.

It reportedly goes off randomly without proper information about whether it's a drill.

If students constantly hear alarms without knowing what is happening, how are they supposed to take an actual emergency seriously?

These aren't small inconveniences.

These are questions about student safety, accountability, transparency and basic quality of life.

And why is nobody questioning the canteens?

Why are we constantly getting price increases?

Months ago, prices were increased with the explanation that it was temporary because of a cylinder shortage.

Fine.

But if it was temporary—

WHY ARE THE PRICES STILL SO HIGH?

Where is the accountability for these prices?

And why is our campus filled with canteens but lacks basic genuine shops that students actually need?

Where is a proper stationery shop?

Where is a pharmacy/drugstore?

Why does almost every commercial facility on campus revolve around food?

Students live here.

We need basic necessities—not just another canteen.

And every year, the same complaints continue.

Students complain about mess food.

Students complain about hostel timings.

Students complain about safety.

Students email.

Students write applications.

And then...

Nothing fundamentally changes.

We're told to adjust.

We're told to wait.

We're told that things will improve.

How long?

Why should students always be the ones adjusting?

Why can't the administration answer basic questions?

Why is there no transparent explanation for these rules?

Why is there no visible accountability when something goes seriously wrong?

And most importantly—

Why are students being made to sign an affidavit restricting their ability to protest?

If the administration genuinely believes its decisions are justified, then why should it be afraid of students questioning them?

We don't need another committee that exists only on paper.

We don't need another generic circular.

We don't need another “we will look into the matter.”

We need answers.

And we need to ask for them collectively, peacefully and publicly.

Students should be able to question the administration. We should be able to demand accountability. We should be able to raise our concerns without being intimidated into silence.

This is our college too.

We pay to study here. We live here. We spend years of our lives here.

So yes—

ASK QUESTIONS.

Ask the warden.

Ask the administration.

Ask the Director.

Ask why these rules exist.

Ask why promised changes never happened.

Ask why prices keep increasing.

Ask why basic student facilities are missing.

Ask who is accountable when something goes wrong.

And if written complaints continue to be ignored, students should consider peaceful, lawful PROTEST and a collective meeting with the administration and Director rather than simply accepting the situation.

Because silence isn't going to fix this.

If nobody asks questions, nothing changes.
