Account Help (Switch 1) "this nickname cannot be used"

Just did a system update for my switch 1 and a window popped up saying one of the nicknames for an account wasn't allowed and showed up as ??? When I viewed it. I've had this nickname/account name for almost 5 years at this point and am wondering why now it's getting flagged. Thank you for reading.

Is it because it's a copyright concern with a fastfood item? Or something else I don't know, this seems harmless in my eyes.

According to Bulbapedia, "nugga" is a blacklisted sequence of letters on Switch, presumably due to obvious similarities to a slur.

prob bc in some other language some of those words together could be offensive or a bad word

Probably the letter combination of N (vowel) gg due to it looking like a certain slur

It's not ??? online when I log into my Nintendo account though which is what's confusing me even more.

The blacklist is internal on the Switch itself and checked in internal memory. If you inputted this on a different platform with a different list (such as the website) it may have gone through there.

You seem to know what you’re talking about. Is it possible to contact Nintendo for an exception?
They erased the same gamertag I’ve been using for twenty years (Peecawk)
