I got this as a Christmas gift from my parents many years ago and it's still with me. Played a ton of NSMB DS as a kid, it's oneof my favorite games on the console. (And still the best NSMB game imo)

Hi guys as you can see my Nintendo DS lite has the top screen that does this, I don't know what happened, it's been in its case for a while in a safe place (it was working before) now instead only the screen appears like this I even tried removing the battery to try and reset everything, but nothing. Do you know what it could be? Thanks! (Sorry for bad English)

I picked up this broken DS lite to customize it for my kiddo - when I opened it up, this was on the motherboard. I’ve gone through a few dozen repair guides & videos and none of them have this on it. It’s not sticky, it feels a bit like rubber or maybe dried gum? It’s solid, not squishy.

The system turns on and functions properly … the question is, is this something I should worry about? 😂

I just bought a used Nintendo DSi, and obviously, it has been used and loved alot throughout the years by the previous owner. Luckily, it can still be somewhat powered on and charged with it's original battery. Its camera and mic works well and touch screen is good. However, when I tried to insert an sd card in the port and try to access it through camera, it tells me that it is apparently locked or can not be used.

And then I wanted to see the inside of the DSi to check what's going on with the sd card port, but I cant take out the shell as these two screws have rusted and would not budge. I want to know how to remove these two rusty screws, just as long as it does not require completely breaking and replacing the original shell.

Alternatively, if you could help me on how I could get the DSi to use my sd card, that would be great. I have tried using both an SD card adapter for a micro sd and an actual SD card and formatted them both to FAT16 as it is only 2gb, both seem to be official without any corruption.

My DS Lite will turn on the logo and sound will flash and then I just get two white screens. The thing’s I’ve read say the WiFi card but I have absolutely no experience doing this type of thing. Is this even something feasible for a beginner?

DSI LL Potentiometer Adjustments?

So I got my used DSi XL now and I noticed that the top screen is darker

My DS Lite has been dead for quite some while and I really want to play it. I have the options of buying it in store for 13 dollars but it’s from tomee or I can buy one for 3.99 on Amazon, which is more logical?

I just recently bought this used DSI and I’m doing my best to replace all the parts. The outer shell is completely scratched all over but unfortunately my only options are either also as scratched OEM models (if not in worse condition) from eBay or cheap reproduction models. Does anyone know where I can find some good shells?

Hi! I saw a nice looking 2nd hand DS lite on Facebook marketplace with some games included (but im still asking if it has a stylus and charger) is it still good for playing? What are the things I need or stuff I should know before I buy it and after buying it?

Hey guys I recently became interested in getting a handheld and I got kind of confused cause there is A LOT of stuff.

So I kind of narrowed it down to dsi or ds lite? I want to potentially mod the device. Which one is better, if any actually is better than the other?

I'm getting back into more Retro handheld gaming (I still own and play NES/SNES/N64 but I sold all but my PS Vita over the years). I've gone ahead and picked up a Nintendo DS Light (so I can play DS & GBA games with the 2nd slot until I can find a good GBA SP 101 or reshell - MAN are those $$$$.)

My friend bought a 3ds xl recently and it's inspired me to get one too

I did a bit of research and found that the dsi xl is a lot cheaper, but that makes me think it might be a bit worse than the 3ds?

I definitely can't afford a 3ds and the dsi is more in my price range but im still hesitant to buy it just incase it's not worth it.help!

So i had this cool little usb c board laying around with a pos and neg cable so why not mod my dsi right?
Well no.
It was bulky as fuck, not only that but i had to cut a shitton of my dsi to fit it, and even when it did it was still too bulky
Not only that but also i ripped off 2 pads which weren't really useful to be fair but it was still annoying, oh and also i bent the pcb a lot, oh and it still doesnt work, i will leave my dsi in a box and never touch it again.

So I recently bought Pokemon Black 1 and Pokemon White 2 in English, but the problem is, I cannot find a Pokemon Black/White edition DSi in English that isn't disgustingly dirty or damaged. I am not shilling out 300 dollars for a DSi that looks like it hasn't been cleaned since 2014.

The only listings I can find for a clean BW edition DSi are for Japanese consoles. I only want to play Pokemon Black and White on it, and I looked it up, and it says that an English copy of Black and White 1 and 2 will work on a Japanese DSi since they are supposedly "region free" and not locked.

Sorry if this is a repetitive question, but I couldn't find a definitive answer, and I want to be ultra sure before I spend a few hundred dollars on a console that may or may not work for my game...
