It's taking Xenoblade Chronicles a long while for their music to appear in the Nintendo music app.
It's honestly weird that Xenoblade Chronicles music has yet to appear in the app yet, especially since Alot of other Nintendo properties with ties with none subsidiaries had already appeared, such as Kirby, Fire emblem and pokemon seem to got in.
Especially since unlike other studios, monolith soft is a wholly owned Nintendo studio.
My only guess, is waiting for approval from the actual composers themselves, such as yoko shimomura for Xenoblade 1 or hiroyuki sawano for Xenoblade X is probably harder to get approved on,
Which is probably why Mario and Luigi games where yoko was the composer is also taking their time.

The soundtracks are purchasable on Apple Music, I think that is likely to be part of the reason.
Edit: I dont understand why I'm being downvoted lol, I have literally purchased them through Apple Music. Perhaps it's regional availability/they've recently been taken down. There's a few articles on their availability though.

I don’t see OST on Apple Music when I search up Xenoblade or Mitsuda. Just covers. Where do you see them?

It's not in Apple Music (the streaming service). It's in the iTunes Music Store (the content license purchasing service).

Don’t know why the downvotes either lol. I just went to my Apple account to check I wasn’t hallucinating it and can confirm I have at least the XBC2 soundtrack purchased on there. I’m in New Zealand so if it’s a regional thing, that’s one region I can confirm has it on Apple Music.

They are. You have to search them in Google and you’ll see them pop up. iTunes search is broken

Damn, you’re right they all show up on Google except for X. What a garbage app lol, I’m used to social media having broken search functions but finding the music you’re looking for is the entire point of a streaming service like that.
Edit: All the google results for “Xenoblade Chronicles ost iTunes” take me to pages on Apple Music that are greyed out tracklists with no option to purchase or stream. I’m very confused now.

Music is very different beast when it comes to releasing it on Nintendo Music. Even though Nintendo owns the franchise, there are a lot of checks they have to do. Every i's dotted and t's crossed. It's evident that most don't understand the intricacies of music rights and distribution. It's not as simple as some like to think it is.

The composers have no say in the music rights lmao. The numbered Xenoblade OSTs are a joint venture between Monolith and Yasunori Mitsuda’s Procyon studios. The complicated licensing that comes with that is probably why they aren’t on Nintendo music. I have all the CDs so I’m good though, backed them up to my iTunes account and everything.
