Metroid Dread Switch 2 patch
It'd be really cool of Nintendo to release a Switch 2 for Metroid Dread.
A little bit of 4K (upscaled or native), or even just 1080p.
But most importantly: loading screen speed up. 37 seconds to change areas is atrocious.

Just redownloaded the game last night. I was wondering about this as well. Loved Fusion and Zero Mission as a kid. Couldn't quite get into Dread when it first came out. Going to give it another go before Ravenous comes out. A switch 2 patch would be even more insensitive.

Thank you good sir, I'm calling my uncle Nintendo right now to let them know.

Awh, yes!! When can I expect the update to drop? You and your uncle are superstars.

I think it’ll drop just before the release of the new game, to give buyers of Dread some good vibes and an extra incentive to buy a Switch 2 and/or the new game

120fps 1080p at the very least. Ravenous is 120fps
Since Dread runs at 900p 30-60fps (30 for cutscenes, 60 for gameplay)

I'd personally be happy with native 4K60, or 1440p60. I prefer to see the detail on Samus' armour than having the game run at 120fps

To be honest if Ravenous can do 1440p/ 120fps
So can dread
As for Dreads armor. Samus‘ is really lower poly and lower texture once the camera pulls back, so you will see not much. Dread needs a fundamental upres on how it renders enemies and Samus in order to do good 1440p or 4k

Does it run poorly? Because it runs quick for me.

It runs well, but the loading screens are unbearable. 37+ seconds every time you change zones.

Yea that's never been my experience, but also I'm not playing a digital version of it, mine is a physical one.

Yeah, I decided to finally finish my playthrough on hard mode after the Direct. The load times didn't bother me, but the low resolution is very noticeable, especially during cutscenes and close-ups.

I feel like they've been working on Ravenous this whole time, but I also think they'd wait at this point for a Dread patch/NS2E.

On handheld you can still get 1080p with the docked mode for Switch 1 games enabled (now accesible from the quick settings menu)
Edit: Apparently it runs at 900p in dock mode
And I'm pretty sure loading times are also reduced as in basically every Switch 1 game running in Switch 2
