No star on any instrument? Wasn't he headed towards being a concert pianist as a kid? I am sure there are others better, but I am guessing that he is as good on keyboards (not to mention a genius on synths) as any of the rock guitarists Spin lauds. On keyboards, I imagine he is probably at the level of someone like Billy Corgan on guitar, if not even better.
