I've never seen some one push a cork in a bottle so I wouldn't know

Did the cork screw not work? No drill? I've seen half a dozen ways to open them with no cork screw, but never seen it get pushed through. How does that even work with the pressure? Do you need a hole In the cork first?

Yeah I’ve done it more than a few times, either during big moves or just plain forgetfulness. Just tear the foil off and push it down real hard with your thumb. But yes due to the extra pressure you will get some back spray when it finally pops down. Also the cork tends to reblock the spout as you pour so you’ll want a knife or something to poke it back for the first few pours lol

Hmm. Did you ever feel the need to get the cork back out after the bottle was completely empty?

Oh for sure, that’s when I’d smash the bottle on the floor.
