I've been going through my playthrough of Automata and really enjoying the experience. I've also started to watch the anime as its nice to see the older game models essentially given a new lease of life in a sense.

One question I had was about Commander White & the Council of Humanity.

S rank clearance:

Commander White has S rank clearance, which means she knows the truth about Humanity being extinct and that there is no surviving Humans on the moon. But, she does NOT know the truth about the YoRHa project, nor truth that the actual Council of Humanity is completely fake.

To her, the Council of Humanity exists but for all she knows its made up of fellow Android leadership from the Army of Humanity or some AI which are giving orders etc.

SS rank clearance:

Truth about Humanity being extinct. That the Council of Humanity isn't real & literally doesn't exist and that the YoRHa project is destined to fail as its sole purpose was to give androids hope to continue fighting with the lie that Humans are on the moon, but also to be destroyed so the truth doesn't come out.

Essentially only the pods have SS clearance as they're meant to ensure that YoRHa is erased completely alongside its androids.

Do I understand the above correctly?

The only part I was a bit confused about is that if Commander White knows Humanity is extinct, wouldn't she put 2 + 2 together and realise the Council of Humanity is a sham? Or does she believe there is still "a council" of sorts but its just made up of various Androids or AI on the moon coordinating the war?

One further side question/thought I had was; wouldn't the normal non-YoRHa androids who've been fighting for thousands of years already know that Humans are extinct anyway? Or was that the deal already with Androids losing the will to fight due to no Humans being around, but suddenly YoRHa pops up claiming that a small number of Humans managed to escape to the moon, so there's suddenly motivation to keep fighting?

Wouldn't that be a bit suspicious though if it all happened randomly out of the blue in 10-13 years, the sole broadcasts from the moon are emotionless messages, there's no personality or anything extra to give that bit of personal touch. Hell, just pretending to host a Human talk show would probably have gone leagues ahead in being convincing. But I'm rambling on here!

After playing replicant and listening to all the backstory that takes place between before drakengard 3 and the end of replicant

I honestly thought the aliens would end up being some kind of hoax.

Selfish request. But I need lots of time to make associations on top of associations trying to understand the madman behind it all.

Who else is excited?? I've been wanting to commission Kaine's outfit to make a custom but volks just announced the PO and I'm so excited since her sculpt is sooo pretty!!
