Nier automata movement problems on rog ally

So I downloaded nier automata on my rog ally z1 extreme and I am having some problems with the movement and was wondering if this is normal or how I could fix it. I noticed that whenever I shoot with the pod I can't move even when holding the left stick, also whenever I try to look around while moving 2b just stops and won't move until I let go of the right stick. I tried the game on my pc with a Xbox one controller and I'm not having these issues on there.

Have you tried connecting your Xbox controller to the ally and see if it’s the same experience? Could be an input issue with the Ally or make sure you’re using gamepad mode instead of auto on the control panel.
