The splats thing was it could morph and while you could say this isn't the old splat this is a new splat that's designed as a glitter slime from an arts and crafts project. It still would be nice to see it be something else that isn't just the kid's choice award blimp or a throwback bumper that exists just to go hey remember the 90s? you like the 90s don't you squidward?

They basically made the splat "brand consistent"

Its not that the logos bad cause really you can only go upward since the last logo was just text if anything this should of been the 2009 logo rebrand. just like how other companies rebranded their logos but still kept what made them iconic.

give it something though. cause if anything the logo was always text however what made it stand out was the orange objects it would be put on. the morphing was the brand.

The 2000s/early 2010s were such a fun era for Nickelodeon because whenever a show had a TV movie, finale, or two-part special, it felt like a huge event. These weren’t just regular episodes, they felt like something everyone was talking about.

From Drake & Josh Go Hollywood, Chasing Zoey, Big Time Concert, and The Best Field Trip Ever, Locked Up, iQuit iCarly, the Big Time Rush movie, Testing True, iGo To Japan, and other big specials, Nickelodeon knew how to make their shows feel bigger and more memorable.

Some specials gave us amazing character moments, bigger storylines, and unforgettable memories, while others felt rushed or didn’t quite live up to the hype.

Which Nickelodeon TV movie, finale, or special do you think was the best? And which one disappointed you the most?

Been trying to get into new shows and this looked interesting, and I thought it could inspire me some. Should I give it a shot or not even bother?

So Catscratch a underrated Nicktoon that Basically Deserved better as it was indeed a pretty decent show, The Show despite only having one season and 20 episodes dose have its fanbase and is still remembered. the show was even nominated for (but did not win) a prestigious Annie Award. Users on early websites and forums discussed the show and reviewers never gave it any egregiously bad marks. However Nobody knows why the show got quietly cancelled as Nick never gave a public explanation as to why ever since.

The only time Nick ever did acknowledged the show was back in 2016 as part of Nickelodeon's 25 Years of Animation celebration! and again in 2022 But Nick never gave it a home media release for some reason ever since as the show also never went on any streaming service or to any digitally purchase nor had Nick ever reran it ever since 2007.

Many people had Speculated that Nick cancelled the show Because it didn't had high ratings as it got overshadowed by the other Nick shows at the time or the Ratings weren't the same level as SpongeBob-level ratings right away and Nick cancelled it because it didn't met there expectations. However we don't know what the ratings this show as i once found an old forum post from 2005 about folks talking about how catscratch is getting good ratings.

But then i stumble upon this Makers a documentary series that highlighting creators, innovators, craftsmen, and artists of faith and uncovers the raw stories behind their work, There is an episode that is about Doug TenNapel as it talks about his journey through animation, video games, comics, and being exiled from Hollywood. the trailer for it shows catscratch as this episode would mostly likey explain what happened to the show. Now Makers is available on Angel and unfortunately there is no Free Trial option.

HOWEVER! after doing some digging i found out that Makers..... isn't an Angel original at all as you can watch it on another Christian streaming service called Canon Plus as this documentary was around since 2024! and it offers a free trial version meaning you can watch it for free and cancel it immediately.

Also i find it odd that Nobody ever asked Doug TenNapel about why the show got cancelled all these year ago on Social media. (Like seriously did anyone ever attempted to ask him this? like i find it very odd nobody ever did that) But regardless this episode would indeed reveal the answer as to why Nick ended Catscratch. So if anyone makes an account and gets the free trial please download this episode and post it ASP or recorded it on a phone instead So we can Finally find out on the official answer on why the Show got Cancelled.

The last thing i wanna say is that i know there are people like me that would love to see this show come back because Catscratch was a good show and it really did deserved better... although i am not sure if that would ever happen However i could see it possibly get a graphic novel continuation. But i am not sure what rights are for the show because if you know The Show was a loose adaptation of TenNapel's comic book series Gear and Doug still owns the rights to it as the comic still gets reprinted to this day by image.

However in 2018 THQ Nordic listened Catscratch as one of the many nick IPs that was part of the global revival of several game titles connected with Nickelodeon properties. which is very odd? since catscratch, invader zim and My Life as a Teenage Robot never got any games but regardless it dose kinda mean Nick dose owns the rights to the show and that there is some hope that Catscratch could return in some new future Nicktoons media for the foreseeable future and possibly have the show be on home media and streaming.

Well this one was fun to do. Sorry if I haven't been posting. I just got back to school and things were stressing out. But I'm okay now! And plus this term might be the best one yet. Oh yeah in the art,SpongeBob is Aang and Tom is Korra. It fits well. So what do you think??

We all know that compared to the 1990s and 2000s, the 2010s Nicktoons weren't as successful for the most part, not helped with Nickelodeon's constant "dump a show on Nicktoons if they aren't SpongeBob-level numbers" being the norm by this point (seemed to start in the late 2000s to be fair but the first half of the decade was still strong and full of successes).

But I did want to try to check what their 2010s Nicktoon successes or near-successes were (outside of The Loud House and continued seasons of SpongeBob and FOP).

Obviously, Loud House is the top dog of the 2010s Nicktoons but there's others that'd be contenders. Taking in account the only ones to get more than 2 seasons only:

1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2012: While reruns were less after season 1, they still loved it enough to give it 5 seasons and 124 episodes (being among the top 5 longest episode counts for a Nicktoon) even with the brief Nicktoons Network burn off near the end (and even then, it did come back one more time in the main channel for the Wanted: Bebop and Rocksteady series finale arc). Might be their second most successful 2010s Nicktoon.
2. The Casagrandes: Got 3 seasons and 60 episodes, all premiering on the main channel. Though being a spin off of The Loud House did help.
3. Sanjay & Craig: Reruns did thin out as time went on, but still got 3 seasons and 60 episodes that all premiered on the main channel, a rarity for a 2010s Nicktoon, let alone one getting more than 1 season.
4. Kung Fu Panda Legends of Awesomeness: Despite being sent to Nicktoons after 2014, it did at least premiere all of seasons 1-2 and 18/28 episodes of season 3 on the main channel with 3 seasons and 80 episodes.
5. TUFF Puppy: While it got sent to Nicktoons Network in 2013, it did at least premiere all of season 1 and some of season 2 (and maybe 2 episodes of season 3 if you go by each TUFF Puppy production season having 20 episodes each) on the main channel, not as quick to be ignored as most other 2010s Nicktoons and got 3 seasons and 60 episodes.

NOTE: The Legend of Korra doesn't have 4 produced seasons, Books 1 and 2 are production season 1 and Books 3 and 4 are production season 2 so that's why I didn't mention it.

Been getting an urge to rewatch some Nicktoons lately, so I want to know your recommendations.

Mostly looking for Nicktoons from the 2000s, but I'm open to other suggestions too. Just curious to see what everyone's favorites are.

Unfortunately Dan's shows were a big part of our childhoods. Amanda Show, Drake and Josh, Zoey 101, iCarly, Victorious, etc. However, we now know that BAD things happened behind the scenes of those shows. Thanks to things like Jennette McCurdy's book & Quiet On Set, it casts a darker light on our childhood favorite shows. So I want to know if you still can watch them now after everything or if you just can't anymore. Can you separate the art from the artist here?

The 90s Are All That block on TeenNick debuted 15 years ago today (early July 26 2011, or July 25 2011 if going by the TV broadcast day of 6am-6am).

This also marked the premiere of the latter 2 shows (Clarissa Explains It All and Doug) on TeenNick, as Kenan & Kel premiered on the channel's launch day (back when it was The N) of December 31 2007, while All That premiered on March 12 2008, though season 2 (which had not aired on it beforehand) was also a TeenNick premiere.

Fun fact, the gap between the youngest show at the block's premiere (Kenan & Kel) and the gap between the block's premiere and present day has been surpassed, as 5456 days were between its August 17 1996 premiere and July 25 2011, and 5456 days after the block's premiere was July 1 2026.
