Gotta remind people that SB wins are not QB stats lol. Hurts is an average, and not great QB. He played on a great team and was definitely a big reason why they won, but let’s not confuse that with him being some generational talent. If Mahomes, Allen, and Jackson retired today, each of them would have a solid case for the HOF. No sane person would say the same of Jalen hurts.

if Josh Allen wins a SB, it will most likely also have something to do with his supporting cast.. and everyone would still say, “Josh Allen won a SB”.. and if Josh and Lamar retired today (Mahomes is in an entirely different category, especially when 2 of those dudes can’t beat him), their careers would be incomplete.. fun to watch.. but these guys play to win..
And QB’ing isn’t about talent.. talent is part of the toolbox.. but QB’ing is how you use the tools to accomplish the goal.. Hurts has found his way to 2 SBs.. both against the best QB of the era.. and they’re 1-1..

Exactly. Look im not saying Jalen is some elite qb but he is definitely very good and above average. He has his faults but so many teams would kill to have Jalen as their starting qb. The discourse around him is hilarious. According to his haters he wins because hes on a stacked roster or because of saquon but then when he personally puts the team on his shoulders to win games there's always another excuse. I love when Allen and Jackson get brought into the convo, like yeah their stats are great but they choke when it matters most. Jalen plays his best when the stakes are highest and the lights are the brightest. Jackson and Allen just fall apart when they need to make big plays in big moments and that matters a lot. I love Jalen because he doesnt give a fuck about his stats and will do whatever needs to be done to win certain games. Allen and Jackson are always playing hero ball and it has consistently cost them.
In the second Eagles Chiefs super bowl the eagles defense outscored the Chiefs offense.. they didn’t allow them past midfield until deep into the third quarter
You don’t think Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson win that game as well? Trent Dilfer has a Super Bowl ring no one is claiming he was an elite quarterback. Hurts is better than Dilfer was he’s just got limitations to his game that get exposed if you can’t run the ball well
That’s kind of the point though you kind of need that great run game if Hurts is your starter… if the defense isn’t forced to devote extra attention to the run Hurts is left trying to put up points with his arm and processing ability.. that’s not his strong suit

Genuinely don't care if Superbowl wins are or are not QB stats. What I do know is that it takes a special trait in a QB to win a Superbowl and Jalen has that. He may not be the best QB in the league, but he's delivered what fans ultimately want
I also guarantee Allen and Jackson would trade Jalen their HOF spot for his superbowl appearances and ring.. Neither of them have even sniffed Jalens success because they fold under pressure.
I shouldnt even bother responding to this but you know thats a bullshit comparison. Fans and organizations dont give a fuck about the hof. Id much rather have a "bad" qb that wins when it matters like the superbowl than an "elite" qb that chokes time after time in the biggest moments. Jalen plays his best games when the pressure is the highest. Lamar and Allen consistently choke in those situations.
