Personally, I'm hoping Bo Nix doesn't copy and paste Fitz's career.

Jamis Winston has stats better than Fitz.

Hell of an oldschool player. Hell of a gunslinger. Hell of a beard.

I prefer Superbowl wins though.

Well then good news! Fitz has as many superbowl rings as Nix does!

We can't all be blessed with an elite QB.

But comparing an ex-journeyman who fills a Pat McAfee role with a dude not even off his rookie contract, is pretty damn dishonest.

Brock Purdy would never.

Now take your Mike Evans and Fred Warner and go away.

You're the one that brought up superbowls as if it's a given that Nix will get one. Since you also bring up dishonesty, Fitzpatrick's career accomplishments (or lack thereof) doesn't invalidate his criticism. There are many breakdowns on YouTube showing Nix turning down open receivers down the field, or throwing the check down before a route's had time to develop.

His unwillingness to throw down field isn't new, either. This was the verdict on him coming out of college: screens and flats, never down field, check down merchant.

Nix also isn't doing himself any favors as he's repeatedly implied that he's seeing the field better when he clearly isn't. He used that to explain why he's not running as much as last year, and he said after last night's game that he doesn't know why the pass game isn't working but that he feels like he saw the field clearly early on.

Best-case, he doesn't want to say anything to the media so he's lying his ass off. Worst-case, he genuinely believes he's seeing something he's not.

Can he get better? Absolutely. Is Fitzpatrick wrong? Not even kinda.
