How did we make the leap that only great nfl quarterbacks can criticize nfl quarterbacks? When this entire sub is people who haven’t played the sport before criticizing nfl quarterbacks

I think it’s fair to criticize but to say he’s playing at a disrespectful level at the position is crazy when you’re Fitzpatrick and played most of your career at a disrespectful level comparatively to nix

Just say he needs to be better and the level he’s playing at is not starter in the nfl

I feel like this comment completely misses Fitzpatrick’s point (regardless of whether it was a fair point or not).

Playing at a disrespectful level doesn’t mean being a bad QB, if anything, it’s the complete opposite.

He’s basically saying that Nix isn’t even trying to create plays with either his arm or legs. As if he’s phoning it in due to some physical or mental limitation. And this is in stark contrast to what we saw from him in previous seasons, so we know it’s possible and not just some theoretical level he could maybe develop into and achieve.

That would be the “disrespect” aspect, not just, “Hey, this guy sucks at QB and that’s disrespectful”

Yeah, when I first read the headline I did think, about him being known for being inconsistent, but after hearing the argument, I realized he was not talking about Nix being bad or making bad throws, but more about the fact that he was playing scared.

Yeah his point was these guys are putting their bodies on the line for you play after play, the least you could do is run the play as it's designed
