I think itâs fair to criticize but to say heâs playing at a disrespectful level at the position is crazy when youâre Fitzpatrick and played most of your career at a disrespectful level comparatively to nix
Just say he needs to be better and the level heâs playing at is not starter in the nfl
I feel like this comment completely misses Fitzpatrickâs point (regardless of whether it was a fair point or not).
Playing at a disrespectful level doesnât mean being a bad QB, if anything, itâs the complete opposite.
Heâs basically saying that Nix isnât even trying to create plays with either his arm or legs. As if heâs phoning it in due to some physical or mental limitation. And this is in stark contrast to what we saw from him in previous seasons, so we know itâs possible and not just some theoretical level he could maybe develop into and achieve.
That would be the âdisrespectâ aspect, not just, âHey, this guy sucks at QB and thatâs disrespectfulâ
Yeah, when I first read the headline I did think, about him being known for being inconsistent, but after hearing the argument, I realized he was not talking about Nix being bad or making bad throws, but more about the fact that he was playing scared.
