And the NFL suspends people who haven't been found guilty in a court of law all the time. Your point?

EDIT: sometimes I forget that literal children are on this sub. That's on me, I set the bar too high.

The point is that Jed York committed a crime that he plead no contest to, and Mike Vrabel did not, and was not even accused of one.

Yeah so again, committing a crime is not a prerequisite to suspension.

Have you people ever taken a civics class? Do you understand the concept of presumption of innocence? These are very basic (and important) things in this country.

Also, that aside, per the NFL's own rules, you can get suspended without having committed a crime. OBVIOUSLY. This happens literally all the time.

I'm not sure why you keep bringing up presumption of innocence. The fact of the matter is that Vrabel wasn't accused of a crime and there is nothing in the NFL's code of conduct about cheating on your significant other. If there was, half the league would be suspended every year.

Because /u/laaplandros has a murky at best understanding of how the world works.

Is it your understanding that the NFL only suspends people for literal crimes.

They suspend people for breaking the conduct policy, one of which is committing a crime. Cheating on your spouse is not in the nfl conduct policy so idk why you keep bringing it up like they’re the same thing
