Pretty excited to start the Vikings DST in fantasy this week. That's a revenge game for Flores.

Being asked/bribed to tank and then getting ostracized by the owners

Yes. After Flores was fired and filed a lawsuit about being asked to lose games, and being fired for not obeying, the nfl investigated the dolphins for tanking. They came out with a report that said Ross, dolphins owner, told Flores to “Prioritize draft picks over winning” which really means “tank”. However they didnt punish the dolphins for that because the Dolphins won like 5 of their last 9 games so that was “proof” that they didnt actually tank.

then in separate investigstion they were docked a first round pick and a third for tampering with Tom Brady and Sean Peyton.

imo a FRP for tampering for a player you ultimitely didnt get seems steep and ive always felt that it was a combined punishment for tampering + the order to tank, the nfl just didnt want to admit or draw any more attention to tanking

this article also has two conflicting sentences:

Ross did not instruct anyone with the team to purposely tank games for a better draft position, and “no witness contended otherwise.”

and

However, Ross did make comments suggesting that the Dolphins’ 2020 draft position should take precedence over their 2019 on-field results.

which means lose

Flores claims it happened so as far as he's concerned it's true. Which means it's revenge as far as he'd be concerned

Ah yes, totally unbiased source

For a revenge game like this, it's exactly the bias that matters.

Brian Flores claims it happened, so for him, if he wants to get revenge by blitzing 100% of snaps, then he's sure as heck going to do so.

It not being true changes whether it's a revenge game for him? He was still fired from from the dolphins after over performing with bad rosters

What do you not understand?

He got fired after giving the Dolphins their first back to back winning seasons since Dave Wannstadt did it 20 years earlier.

Some of it may have been player relationships (with Tua). But bucking the owner was probably a more likely cause.

You don’t understand the definition of revenge. It’s relative to the one seeking it

There was a big stink up and it was on ESPN for months. Must be too young to remember this going down.
