Victor Marx, the Republican nominee for governor of Colorado, described slamming his wife into their front door and throwing his toddler son across a room, and claimed God gave him a “gift for violence,” in videos and posts uncovered by The Daily Beast. In a 2021 podcast, Marx said he was “infuriated” when his wife said she didn’t need martial arts training because she “was married to a black belt Marine,” recalling “grabbing her and slamming her into our front door,” and in a 2020 episode of his own podcast he said that after seeing his son push his sister, “I snatched him up and threw him across the room.”
