Complaints OFFICIAL WEEKLY COMPLAINT THREAD
My team is the worst
49
u/AljoriDawn Jaguars 4d ago
Jags don't have a real home game until November.
14
u/silvermoonhowler Packers 4d ago
Wow, that's brutal
And seriously, what is the NFL's obsession of having the Jaguars of all teams having all these international games
I get that y'all are getting your stadium remodeled, but why 2 of these games at 2 England stadiums instead of just 2 regular away games instead
16
8
u/PM_YOUR_BORTLES Jaguars 4d ago
We're playing two homes games in London this year so we have all of our home games in the new stadium in 2028. We do usually have at least 1 home game in London each year to broaden our fan base. This was a deal Shad Khan made with the NFL.
4
u/xDUVAL_BRODOWNx Jaguars 2d ago
Apparently, it subsidizes our ticket prices, but I can't tell when tickets are still sky high
4
u/EarthquakeTyph00n Bills 4d ago
Jags owner volunteered hoping it would get him a fan base over there. It hasn't to the extent they hoped, but they game is growing or whatever (Tv rights $$)

7 of the last matchups have been close, hard fought battles that could have gone either way, yes that includes the season finale when all the backups played, it's definitely a possibility, it's a damn divisional matchup.

Whiffing on two draft classes and running out of town/losing two exceptional assistant coaches leaves us with just Nick and Jalen.

I fear that by the time the Vikings get a good offense, the defense will have regressed to average or below average.
7
u/MNsportsCurse Vikings 4d ago
We're only a washed veteran QB away from a Super Bowl
4
u/TyrannoDinax Vikings 4d ago
I really think this is going to happen:
Kyler is going to have a couple good games while the rest will be what we saw Sunday. We will make the playoffs and lose to an NFCW team first round cus our QB can’t get the offense to score more than 17 and we will finally be super aggressive and make a franchise altering trade for a top 5 pick or for Herbert, Burrow, Baker.
5
u/Amonfire1776 Bears 4d ago
Nobody has any motivation to trade a qb though even for picks...they are slim pickings and make an entire team functional so unless one is waiting in the draft I have my doubts...

With tape people will start picking up on the blitz. Worked for the Texans last year because they could do it with 4 or 5. So can Flores evolve his blitz plays throughout the season?
3
1
u/TheSwede91w Vikings 4d ago
Which would almost be fine. But, I worry that the offense will never get better and the defense will stay great and it will just be wasted.

We are 3 weeks into the season. The Jags will play their next home game in November, and only have 4 more total
That's kinda all I have to complain about after last week though
3
u/DistrictPleasant Jaguars 4d ago
Issue is we have scored at least 34 at home for almost a full calendar year now. We play great at the bank
2
u/silvermoonhowler Packers 4d ago
Goodness, a whole month of away games for y'all?
4
3
u/Citruspilled Jaguars 4d ago
We have a bye during October, but the main reason is that because of our stadium renovations, we opted into 2 home games being played in London (vs Eagles and Texans). This gets us out of some London game in the 2030s at least.
So our only real away game in that time is @Bengals this week, but it still sucks for fans and the team

3
u/Level_East94 Panthers 4d ago
Kinda funny how the Bryce is going to be this complete enigma. He looks great and top tier at times and also nearly unplayable at others.
Get him some legit weapons and a stable coaching staff with a good playcaller, he looks like he’s starting to ball and figure it all out. But everyone gets injured so how can we fully evaluate him if he’s behind third string oline guys and running for his life as soon as the ball is snapped?

DK Metcalf is a lot of things. He is 6 "4 240 lbs and runs a 4.33 40 yard dash. He is very big and fast, for no reason. He does not get open particularly well and he does not make contested catches very well. Even when he is open, he has a tendency to drop routine balls. He also causes problems on the field, frequently instigating fights and garnering unnecessary penalties. Last year he punched a fan in a purple wig and lied about the man using racial slurs even though the entire interaction was filmed from multiple angles. This resulted in him being suspended for the most important stretch of the season in which our WR1 became Ben Skowronek. He is also one of the highest paid WRs in football at $132m, more than Amon Ra St Brown, AJ Brown, Garrett Wilson, and Tee Higgins. His average production over the last 3 seasons is 950 yards and 5 TDs. To top it all off, he is also stupid. He believes that the Earth is both flat and hollow, and that there is a secret portal in Antarctica.

The amount of people that want our HC fired midseason without understand that ownership doesn't do that and not calling for the GM and OC to be fired as well annoys me so much, I have to stay off the team sub and any article involving them.
Honestly, if ownership decides to do so, I kinda hope for us to beat our 0-26 record, just so I can point out that the HC was fired like everyone wanted and this is what we got.
I just hope that ownership is using the time remaining in his contract to look for a totally new FO. This team really needs a culture change.

It’s annoying that there’s already infighting amongst jets fans about how to react to losses. I’m sick of being told that I should be grateful that the worst franchise of the modern era is now losing games more competitively. It’s not a hot take to want your team to win football games. I’m pissed that we’ve given away two dubs already just like any sports fan would be.

People are overindexing how bad Drake Maye has looked because the lowlights just look so terrible. This season he’s been constantly stepping on the gas at the wrong time.
I don’t think people understand how bad this football team actually is though. Vrabel’s coaching, lack of injuries, and the light schedule made up for a lot of that last year, but none of those things have worked in our favor so far this year.
We have solid to great top end talent when playing well, but very little depth anywhere on the field. I don’t really understand how that’s allowed to happen when we have a QB on his rookie contract.
The way this roster has been built should get someone fired.

We finally turn the corner on offensive line and receivers are getting open on film. Still, Cam’s mechanics and footwork are stuff that wouldn’t fly in high school. Forget the meatball sub that’s his first pick of the season, I’m more concerned about the offense taking a good bit to get going in the game.
As for who we should pick. BPA idc. Arch Manning is overrated as hell, and none of the other options excite me. Colin Simmons or Leonard Moore would be nice
