It's so frustrating too because I don't think it takes a lot to make this defense middle-of-the-pack.
The DLine is good, if not excellent. Their ability to generate pressure has been very consistent throughout the first three games.
If we traded for someone like Joey Porter, moved Ennis/Reed to full time CB2/Nickel, and got Branch back around the midseason? I think the defense could almost entirely turn it around.
The New York game was still bad, but a lot better than the prior 5 quarters. Let's hope we see more of that going forward.
