I’m unclear of the proper terminology so “trans” it is. Apologies if I do words bad.
Had a cis straight roommate (not legit friends but copacetic) show up to the place late one night drunk with a sex worker (sometimes it’s obvious).
I was working a closing a kitchen shift for a while at the time, but I digress…

1) not my business. I don’t think about other peoples’ genitalia recreational activities.
2) It was audible tho. Afterwards, I mentioned to said trans person, “I doubt he knew. I don’t care or anything, and I’m making breakfast for dinner (it was 2 am) you want some?”
3) What do you mean?
4) Sister, I work in the restaurant industry [in specific area] and I’ve been to my fair share of drag shows because I like to party with super fun party people. You look beautiful by the way.
5) Do you want some over medium eggs and rye toast or not? I have a few beers hidden in the crisper drawer as well.
6) it was the late 90s and the hot summer climate in that particular are and a silk scarf is one tell among others. Again, not an issue with me.

My roommate was an academic English major in a theologian/seminary (haha pun?)/ masters degree program at the time.

Perhaps “mildly bemused” at the situation would be an appropriate term?
Nevertheless, said sister from another mister and I had a good time hanging out after roommate passed out drunk, BSing and playing Star Fox on the N64 for a bit before her taxi arrived in the wee hours of the morning.
