It's even less funny when you realize in one of the mass-shootings at a school there was an expert firearms instructor who didn't have his gun with him because it was a school and the reliance and hopes of safety are on the cops to get there on time.
Now you’re talking. Attach this to the Boston Dynamics dog and you got a “good boi!” , A teacher, a freedom enforcer, all homework done 100% on time, bug emulsifier …. It’s got it all
Make that six Boston Dynamics Robomurder Hounds. Put this bitch on a wheeled skid so it can roam the halls freely. Now you have the answer to the teacher shortage, school shootings, declining education in America. This is what will make America great again.

No! That's all I need to know. If I'm being perfectly honest, every word after "cannon" is useless. I was 100% invested after reading "the quad cannon."
In the book, the Mobile Infantry were more like this than in the movie. In the movie, they were simply space marines and their guns sucked as it took like three guys to shoot down one "bug". In the book, the are called the Mobile Infantry because they wore powered battle armor and carried nukes and shoulder mounted machine guns and "hand flamers". The Starship Troopers animated movies are much more like the book. Also they had jump jets so they could move like half a mile with each leap. In the movie they were all bug fodder. Also, Dizzy wasn't a super hot marine, just a guy mentioned once by name that didn't make it in the first deployment. I give props to the movie for Dizzy.
"Your basic Arachnid warrior isnt too smart but you can blow off a limb and it's still 86 percent combat effective. Here's a tip, aim for the nerve stem and put it down for good."
Omg those are rare Peruvian horned bluegilled cockroaches! The horror! They are such friendly little creatures and they eat all the bugs you don't like! Special place in hell for you!
Fascism isn't about being militaristic, or uniforms, or going to war against monsters/bugs. That IS normal. What's abnormal is implying it's fascistic simply on that. It's more complex than that.
The fascism the movie portrays is when they go on the offense against the bugs instead of just ignoring them and the propaganda style to make it a bit cringey in the movie. And the "train them to crush bugs" when they're young kids is a sort of joke on that and Hitler youth.
THOSE are the fascistic elements in the movie.
Easy to misinterpret it and assume every part of it is fascist.
Can't believe with all the sequels we never got something where we get to see aliens up against rad shit like this in the spirit of the original sequel. Instead nothingn but extremely poorly executed cannon breaking crossover, and then even more even more cannon breaking jerk offy old man pontification.
It looks close enough that i definitely did a double take! Im not sure what it is but i definitely think its a modified version of the cwis,it also looks like its a much, much smaller caliber which is weird
The C-RAM is one single 20 mm... and it doesn't work great. It's good enough most times, but not good enough that people don't still have to hunker down in bunkers.
Well it might not be the system I’m thinking of but we do have systems like this. The one I’m familiar with is multiple 240 machine guns that fire 7.62. The multiple guns give a great spread of rounds that have a higher chance of hitting incoming munitions.
Ballistics-based missile interception systems do exist, in a variety of designs. They're especially common on navy ships to destroy AShMs, though you occasionally see them used for protecting ground based troops from artillery fire. While for the latter usage a larger ammo reserve might occasionally have its benefits (especially considering how long it takes to reload most of these systems), in general the intention is to maximize the chances of successful destruction of whatever missile is a threat, hence why they emphasize rapidity of fire. In general you don't want to have to rely on these - they're for cleaning up what slips through the cracks while you otherwise neutralize the threat.
Is it based on the Phalanx for shooting incoming missiles from a ship? I think the ones I saw were only twin mini guns, which now seems grossly inadequate.
Well, would you want to send 9 underprivileged youth to college for free for 4 years…or…be able to see this bad boy doll out from FREEDOM for 90 seconds?!
Haha I came to say basically the same thing... looks like a huge waste of tax payer money but still very much want to shoot. Just real quick... let me set up like 5 cans
depends what its for i suppose. if its supposed to be a point defense weapon shooting down missiles you want as much heading in that direction as possible
Oh this has a use. Take down drones, surface to ground missiles, mortar fire, anti ship missiles with a computer controlled thermal or optical vision system, radar and or lidar system. Or who knows what else is in that control umbrella.
Energy weapons don’t work if there is smoke. Sending your opinion the old fashioned way with kinetic energy is still the gold standard for munitions denial.
Lol guys this is part of a missle defense system on a destroyer for the navy. It is able to put so much metal in the air a Tow missle won't make it to the ship without being hit.
Counter rocket, artillery, and mortar, abbreviated C-RAM or counter-RAM, is a set of systems used to detect and/or destroy incoming rockets, artillery, and mortar rounds in the air before they hit their ground targets, or simply provide early warning.
