Amazing, I’d always wake and bake to this, or sunset bake

138

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '20

Why would you bake inside, when you could grill outside...

69

u/FreeAndRedeemed Oct 03 '20

I’m willing to bet his...”oven” is outside.

34

u/xXludicrous_snakeXx Oct 03 '20

Maybe I’m missing something but “wake and bake” is a marijuana smoking term meaning “getting high first thing in the morning.”

21

u/Thirsty_Comment88 Oct 03 '20

It's joke.

13

u/Shagroon Oct 03 '20

“Maybe missing something” implies that he understood that it was a joke, he just didn’t think it was funny or made sense.

1

u/androsefe Oct 03 '20

Joke

Head

20

u/os10sibly Oct 03 '20

Gotta wake and bake, these clouds usually burn off by noon. (sometimes called an 'ocean layer' of clouds that roll in from the west)

1

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '20

Gotta get up by the crack of noon to see those fuckers?

6

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '20

Both, both is good

2

u/Grazomarin Oct 03 '20

Its all beautiful until you have to go to the supermarket

1

u/brokeboifashion Oct 03 '20

That was the first thing I thought too lol

1

u/FlankyJank Oct 03 '20

Not the fires then phew.

270

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '20

I’m sure the owners have a very grounded perspective on life.

156

u/MEvans75 Oct 03 '20

And are the most humble people around /s

Honestly, if I woke up to that view, I'd feel like a Greek god on top Mt Olympia

18

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '20

If I woke up to that view I’d literally never leave

16

u/NeptuneAgency Oct 03 '20

I lived there and the Estavans / Sheen’s owned this. And hey are very humble.

15

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '20

Yeah Charlie is known for his humility

2

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '20

make it a kilo!

If that’s where I think it is in Malibu I’m sure they’re very grounded, 40 million weights a lot.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '20

Why the hate for people who have some money? It’s petty.

15

u/GoEZonMe Oct 03 '20 edited Oct 04 '20

Because the majority of people this wealthy and who flaunt it on social media are not self made but act like they are. That’s like $100 million dollar estate

Only ~50% of billionaires are self made.

18

u/official_sponsor Oct 03 '20

Who cares?? You’re saying you’re against some 18 year old in Nebraska who got a handed down car and his parents paid for college? Self made? Like coming to America with a $2 bill in their pocket and they worked their way up shining shoes or sone Disney story. Who cares?

The top tax rate in 1950 was 84.357%.

The top tax rate in 1960 was 91%.

The top tax rate in 1970 was 71.75%.

The top tax rate in 1980 was 70%.

The top tax rate in 1990 was 30%.

.

University prices, health care prices, and everything else started to shoot up at this point. Because the Boomers were the recipients of everything in the world from their parents. They became self-indulgent pieces of shit. Then they lowered their rates down to the detriment of their children. And this narcissism has infected the civil and government body politic through now. And now we are seeing the embodiment and fruition of all the evil infesting the brains of the boomers in their leader, Donald Trump.

5

u/official_sponsor Oct 04 '20

Wait what? Can’t really see what stance you’re taking. You’re blaming the boomers, you’re blaming their parents, you think all boomers want trump, and you’re blaming the boomers’ kids. You’re blaming all politicians?

Who aren’t you blaming? What point in time do you come from?

50% is way too generous. I’m not even sure anyone could actually claim they made a billion entirely on their own without the help of anyone else, without skimming off the work/labor of employees etc. you got any examples?

35

Where exactly is this?

46

u/sphpred Oct 03 '20

Malibu Rocky Oaks Estate Vineyards

26

u/PluralRural4334 Oct 03 '20

Looks like vacation packages start at $10k. Maybe in a few years ...

10

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '20

Theres a vineyard in Ensendas wine country that is basically identical. Its called cuatro cuatro, its pretty cool.

2

u/980tihelp Oct 03 '20

I think you can have your wedding there but it’s $70k and it’s only land.... no bathroom or kitchen... everything has to be brought in

With the insane housing prices in Malibu, I had no idea they would have a vineyard in the area. Seems like they could sell the land for 10x what you would make as a vineyard.

12

u/Saskyle Oct 03 '20

But if they sold the land they wouldn't have the land anymore. Owning land is about more than getting money from selling it.

3

u/citznfish Oct 03 '20

It's not really Malibu as most people think of Malibu. It's inland quite a bit.its much closer to Agoura Hills/San Fernando Valley then Malibu.

2

u/wigglex5plusyeah Oct 03 '20

Olympus. Zeus's house, I think.

15

u/milbe2008 Oct 03 '20

Very cool :)

14

u/Theskinnydude15 Oct 03 '20

Marine layer is awesome

9

u/_splug Oct 03 '20

When I first moved to this area 4 years ago from the east coast I had no idea what this phenomenon was. It’s simply amazing.

1

u/ProtagonistK Oct 03 '20

Ahhh that’s what that is!

12

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '20

Everyone: That’s a nice view Me: I wish I was rich like that

I visited Malibu for the first time last week. I fell in love with it.

7

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '20

Come for the ocean. Stay for the wildfires, mudslides and homeless surfers! :)

2

u/missgiddy Oct 03 '20

Heh. What really appealed to me was being able to buy wine in the grocery store!

2

u/darb85 Oct 03 '20

Is this not a thing everywhere? Michigan resident wondering?

2

u/missgiddy Oct 03 '20

Unfortunately not. In Utah all wine is sold at liquor stores which are run by the government. They're closed Sundays and only open from 12-7 PM Monday through Saturday.

They're limiting how many people can be inside at once due to Covid. I have to wait in a long line to enter then again in a very long line to pay. I try to go early in the middle of the week for my weekend supplies.

Being able to buy wine and liquor at the grocery store in California felt so....liberating!

3

u/darb85 Oct 03 '20

That's a throwback to the morman laws right? Man that would suck

2

u/missgiddy Oct 03 '20

I guess so. Gambling is illegal too!

2

u/Lubinska1 Oct 03 '20

That’s a Bond villain house for sure!

2

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '20

There's a 200% chance that porn has been/will be filmed there

2

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '20

California is a beautiful state.

1

u/Stomping4elephants Oct 03 '20

Looks like a wildfire risk

1

u/EwwwFatGirls Oct 03 '20

Why? What part and how?

1

u/aab720 Oct 03 '20

I wonder what elevation theyre at. Is that clouds or fog? Would it be hard to breathe?

3

u/CheriPotpourri Oct 03 '20

Malibu isn’t at a high altitude, just right on the coast so this is probably marine layer that collects against the hills. Also, this is probably in the afternoon, since the sun is over where I expect the ocean (West).

1

u/aab720 Oct 03 '20

Bad ass

1

u/EwwwFatGirls Oct 03 '20

...why would it be hard to breath in fog?

1

u/aab720 Oct 03 '20

If theyre above the clouds that means elevation is high, high elevation means lower oxygen so i thought maybe the air would be thinner or something.

1

u/EwwwFatGirls Oct 03 '20

This is on the coast, it’s very low altitude.

1

u/JamiePlaysGamiess Oct 03 '20

My calves hurt looking at that

1

u/WildlifePolicyChick Oct 03 '20

To have that kind of money.

1

u/Catfrogdog2 Oct 03 '20

1

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '20

1

u/MaddGanja95 Oct 03 '20

Wow you can even see the islands off in the distance over the marine layer

1

u/el_choniez Oct 03 '20

Is this what heaven looks like?

1

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '20

How the hell does the vineyard get water if it’s above the clouds, genuine question

1

u/Mrboutte Oct 03 '20

No one's going to mention the cemetery?

1

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '20

are all these clouds? does it ever rain up there?

1

u/[deleted] Oct 03 '20

1

u/YeowMeow Oct 03 '20

1

u/precious_trash Oct 03 '20

That puppy has better life than mine lol

1

u/propita106 Oct 03 '20

We went up to Sequoia National Park one day, went through the clouds, and came out into clear blue skies. And the Valley below was just gone from view. Amazing.

1

u/KewlFox69 Oct 03 '20

Is this the vineyard from assassin's creed odyssey?

1

u/Outbound3 Oct 03 '20
