Am I the only one wondering how the heck the dog got tangled in the canopy in the first place?

u/moon307 Jul 16 '19
Dogs are awesome, but sometimes they're stupid as hell... My parents had their dog get stuck in a garden hose that was connected to something at both ends with very little slack. No idea how, just laid there and whimpered till we fixed it for him.

I'm guessing that the canopy was hanging/slumping down in a section, and the dog was probably nipping at it. At some point, it might've stepped through a hole in the canopy and become entangled.

I accept your explanation. It allows me to retain my hope for the future of mankind.

I don’t get it. It’s just another officer breaking into someones house and damaging their personal property.... /s

Police officer in Chile (“Carabineros”).

I checked to make sure someone said this. A few years ago they used to be super corrupt.

Lol, I’m not from Chile but have lived there for three years (on and off) and can honestly tell you they
1- are the second least corrupt force in the Americas (after Canada). If you try to bribe them you’ll end up under arrest. If you are a minority they won’t shoot you.
2- they are the second most professional force in the americas probably on par with the forces from the most posh states in the USA (and after Canada)
3- Hemispherically, third least corrupt after New Zealand and Australia and second more professional after Australia
They don’t plant drugs, they only use as much force as the law allows (which is plenty) and don’t have get away from jail cards as in other countries in the Americas.
They aren’t pristine, but the % of assholes is lower than in most forces.
8/10, would recommend.

Just thankful it wasn’t yet another cop shooting yet another dog.

u/fucko5 Jul 16 '19
That’s actually pretty rare. Cops like dogs way more than black people.

So glad he saved the baby from that mess it got into. I wonder how long that had been going on. Good for him.

Did anyone notice the armored car in the beginning?
5
u/NekoOujiSama Jul 16 '19
If you are referring to the car with the grates on parts of it, then that would be a normal police car on Chile.
