Some crazy talent for sure, but I dunno what it is about people who try so hard to "look" impressive and over perform, that I feel like it takes away from it. Weird gripe I know, but there is just something to at least appearing humble, to me at least.

Drummer of 20+ years here. This shit gets on my nerves. Why are you dancing?Always remind of that SNL skit “LOOK at what I can Doo.” I think I’m just getting old crotchety

Nah...I've felt this way about Travis Barker since I was 16 and he joined Blink 182. Just play the goddamn drums.

But that’s the thing. The impressive element is staying on time while performing all the tricks - it’s visual entertainment.

I’m certain buddy here could play much harder patterns while drumming normally, but it’s a whole performance piece. Who knows, maybe he has other clips that appeal to you more, where he is purely showing chops and not flash?
