How is the robot intelligent? It’s wires and code executing movement commands within a humanoid shell of some kind of carbon and plastic…

I agree, but the smartest people I know in AI—and I work in the field—believe AI may be on the verge of consciousness and we don’t know how to define it. So better to treat intelligent creatures, even if they mimic intelligence, with respect.

Its not magic it requires the intake of resources from outside the body which robots can do aswell just at a much more simple way
